Ubersuggest Review 2026

What Individual, Business, and Enterprise cost on monthly, yearly, and lifetime billing, and when Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz Pro, or SE Ranking is the better invoice.

Product links may be affiliate links. How we rate 4 alternatives covered
TL;DR

Ubersuggest is worth it for a solo marketer who will keep one site long enough for lifetime billing to beat a yearly plan, and a poor buy when daily rank tracking is the job. Individual costs $29/mo, and lifetime access on that plan is $290, equal to 10 months of the monthly rate. The lifetime price list moves AI prompts to on demand, a thinner product than the monthly subscription.

SE Ranking is the stronger alternative when you need keywords checked every day, because a weekly check hides a mid-week drop. Semrush is the one when rank tracking, content, and AI visibility have to share a login. Ahrefs is the one when the backlink export has to go past a few thousand rows.

  • Updated: October 21, 2026
  • Best for: Solo marketers who will keep one site for a year and a half and can accept weekly rank checks.
  • Price as of October 21, 2026: From $29/mo, or $192 a year. Lifetime is a one-time prepay. Monthly plans include a trial.
  • A low list price for one site, with a one-time lifetime option that trims the AI quota.
  • Three years, monthly: $1,044 on Individual
  • Individual lifetime: $290 paid once
  • Trial: 7 days, monthly plans only
  • Toolradar rating: 4.3/5 from 830 reviews

Pros

  • Past a year and a half, the one-time lifetime option costs less than staying on yearly billing.
  • Business covers 2 users and 7 projects, which is a real client list before the jump to Enterprise.
  • Every paid plan includes a 20-hour SEO course and email support, and monthly plans can be canceled without a contract.

Cons

  • Rank checks are weekly, and Individual stops at 125 keywords on a single project, so a long-tail site outgrows the entry plan.
  • Lifetime billing sets AI prompts to on demand and drops Individual to 200 monthly credits, so the prepaid plan checks the brand less often.
  • There is no API, and the backlink report stops at 2,000, 5,000, or 10,000 rows, so a large link export needs another tool.

Ubersuggest is the SEO suite a solo marketer opens when a Semrush invoice is hard to justify for one blog or one client site. People price-shop it for the lifetime option, but against the product's own monthly rate, that option is a short prepay with a quieter AI quota, a different deal from the savings label on the pricing page.

Toolradar data: Ubersuggest is the 14th most-listed alternative among the 268 SEO tools in the directory we run, as of October 2026, and it holds a 4.3 out of 5 from 830 reviews. The product profile is on Toolradar, and that directory is the set behind the SEO tools ranking.

Methodology: prices and limits were checked in October 2026 on Ubersuggest's pricing page, its plan price list, Semrush pricing, Ahrefs pricing, Moz Pro pricing, and SE Ranking pricing. This is a read of those pages, not a crawl test. The rating rules are on how we rate.

What is Ubersuggest?

Ubersuggest is Neil Patel's SEO platform for keyword ideas, site audits, weekly rank tracking, backlinks, competitor snapshots, and a short list of AI search prompts. A project is one brand site: Individual holds 1, Business holds 7, and Enterprise holds 15, so a freelancer with one blog does not need the agency tier. The pricing page says the product is trusted by over 250,000 users, which makes it a mass-market suite.

The paid product is a set of quotas, and the quota is what you actually buy. Keyword suggestions run to 20,000, 50,000, or 100,000 a month, enough for a content calendar and thin if you mine a niche each week. The audit crawls 1,000, 5,000, or 10,000 pages a week, so a large catalog hits the ceiling before the week ends.

Backlink rows stop at 2,000, 5,000, or 10,000, with 3 years of link history and 30 days of new and lost links, a snapshot rather than an export for a link-building team. A marketer who needs a free tool that prints its cap should start with free keyword research tools, and AI search as the main job is covered in AI SEO tools.

How Ubersuggest works

Setup asks for a Google sign-in so the account can read Search Console, and the pricing FAQ says that connection is how Ubersuggest finds more site errors. A normal week is keyword research, a site audit, and a rank check. Ranks update weekly, not daily, so a mid-week dip sits unexplained until the next cycle. Location coverage is 20 places on Individual and unlimited on the two higher plans, one city versus a national set of pages.

AI visibility is a short prompt list on a slow clock across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overview, so you can spot a mention without a daily watch. Individual runs 10 prompts per brand once a month with one response each. Business runs 15 prompts every two weeks, and Enterprise runs 20 prompts a week with 3 responses per prompt, so only that top plan comes close to a weekly check.

Prompt ideas inside keyword research are a separate meter, 25, 50, or 75 per search on monthly and yearly billing, and lifetime billing cuts that meter. The plan comparison also lists 2, 5, or 10 AI articles a month, plus a plagiarism score and image generation, a writing assist rather than a reason to buy. Bulk analysis accepts 50, 200, or 1,000 keywords at a time, which helps when you sort a long list and does little for a single page.

Subscription credits are spent when keyword or AI data is refreshed, so a week of repeat pulls burns the meter early. Monthly and yearly plans share those quotas, so the yearly invoice changes when you pay and not what you get. On lifetime billing the price list keeps the keyword and audit caps, sets AI prompts to on demand, and cuts prompt ideas on every tier. The prepaid plan keeps the research quotas and drops the AI schedule.

Individual lifetime lists 200 monthly credits instead of 250, Enterprise lifetime lists 700 instead of 1,000, and Business lifetime keeps 500 credits, so only the middle plan keeps its credits. Drafting tools are in content optimization tools, and the suite head-to-head is Ahrefs vs Semrush.

Ubersuggest key features

Monthly, yearly, and lifetime billingEssential
Each plan has a monthly rate, a yearly charge equal to a bit more than six months of that rate, and a lifetime charge priced as 10 months of the monthly rate, so lifetime is a short prepay. The monthly trial can be canceled, and the lifetime purchase cannot.
Weekly rank tracking and a capped auditEssential
Keywords are checked once a week, at 125, 150, or 300 per project, so a daily rank drop waits until the next cycle. The audit runs on that same weekly clock, and a large site can hit the page cap before the crawl finishes.
AI search prompts on a slow schedule
ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overview are the tracked surfaces, checked monthly, every two weeks, or weekly by plan. More than one response per prompt arrives only on the top plan, so this is a spot check rather than a daily monitor.
A thinner lifetime quota
Lifetime billing keeps the keyword and crawl caps and changes AI prompts to on demand, so the research quotas stay and the credit meter drops on Individual and Enterprise.
Flat add-ons for seats, sites, and prompts
Extra users, extra projects, 250 more tracked keywords, 500 more daily searches, 5 more AI prompts, and 500 more credits are each a $5/mo add-on. An extra project includes 125 keywords and 3 competitors, another site rather than a higher cap on the one you have.
SEO lessons included, API excluded
All three paid plans include a 20-hour video course, worksheets, and email support. The pricing FAQ says API access is not offered, so a reporting stack that needs a data pull has to look elsewhere.

Ubersuggest pricing

The pricing page, read in October 2026, labels yearly billing "Save 80%" and lifetime billing "Save 90%", and those labels overshoot the discount against Ubersuggest's own monthly rate. Twelve months at the Individual monthly rate is $348, and the yearly charge is $192, so you pay for a bit more than six months and skip the rest. Each lifetime price equals 10 months of that plan's monthly rate, a prepay of less than a year of monthly bills.

The same pattern holds on Business, where twelve monthly invoices are $588 against a yearly charge of $326, and on Enterprise, where twelve monthly invoices are $1,188 against a yearly charge of $657.

A small team outgrows the cheap plan on seats. Individual includes 1 user, Business includes 2, and Enterprise includes 5, so a third person on Business is one user add-on while five people fit on Enterprise with no seat add-on. A bigger plan buys more sites and more people rather than a daily refresh.

Over three years, a solo marketer who stays on Individual monthly pays $1,044, while three yearly invoices come to $576. Lifetime costs $286 less than those three yearly invoices, and it is the version with on-demand AI prompts, so the cash you save is the scheduled AI check you give up.

A five-person team on Enterprise pays $1,188 for a year of monthly billing, $657 on the yearly plan, or $990 once. That one-time price is $333 more than a single yearly invoice, so it only wins in the second year. Fifteen extra users past the 5 included seats come to $75 a month, or $900 a year, on top of whichever Enterprise bill you pick.

The four suites a marketer usually puts next to this one cost more and check keywords on a tighter clock. Semrush's SEO plan is the nearest all-in-one comparison, and its review walks the tiers. Ahrefs Lite is the backlink comparison, with the annual discount explained in Ahrefs pricing. Moz Pro Standard is the small-site comparison, and SE Ranking Core is the daily-tracking comparison.

Ubersuggest pros and cons

What we like

  • Past a year and a half, the one-time lifetime option costs less than staying on yearly billing.
  • Business covers 2 users and 7 projects, which is a real client list before the jump to Enterprise.
  • Every paid plan includes a 20-hour SEO course and email support, and monthly plans can be canceled without a contract.

What could be better

  • Rank checks are weekly, and Individual stops at 125 keywords on a single project, so a long-tail site outgrows the entry plan.
  • Lifetime billing sets AI prompts to on demand and drops Individual to 200 monthly credits, so the prepaid plan checks the brand less often.
  • There is no API, and the backlink report stops at 2,000, 5,000, or 10,000 rows, so a large link export needs another tool.

Who Ubersuggest is for

Ubersuggest fits a freelance marketer or a small content team that owns one to seven sites, can wait a week between rank checks, and expects to keep the tool past a year and a half. That buyer should run the 7-day trial first, because the AI quota on lifetime billing is thinner than the subscription the trial shows you. Business is the right step when a second person and a handful of brand sites show up. Enterprise is the right step when the roster hits 5 users or the site count passes 7.

Skip it when the work is daily keyword tracking, a backlink export past 10,000 rows, or a feed into another dashboard. Semrush and SE Ranking cover the daily job, Ahrefs covers the link index, and Moz Pro fits when a longer AI prompt list matters more than a wider project count. Read the Moz Pro review and the SE Ranking review before you treat this as the whole stack. MarketingShot's daily brief flags the next price change on these suites.

The bottom line

Buy Individual lifetime only after the trial, and only if you will still want the tool in a year and a half. The one-time price is the lifetime row in the table, and the AI schedule on that row is thinner than the subscription. Buy the yearly plan if you want those scheduled AI checks and you are not ready to prepay. Buy Business when a second user and more than one site show up, and buy Enterprise when five people or 15 projects are the real roster.

Move to SE Ranking for daily keywords, Semrush when the rest of the marketing work shares one login, Ahrefs when backlinks decide the campaign, and Moz Pro when the AI prompt list matters more than the project count. Other suites under a Semrush-sized bill are in Semrush alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ubersuggest worth it in 2026?

It is worth it for a solo marketer or a small team that can live with weekly rank checks and will keep the tool long enough for lifetime billing to beat yearly billing. It is a poor buy when the job is daily keywords, a large backlink export, or an API, because SE Ranking, Ahrefs, or Semrush matches that work more closely, at a higher list price.

How much does Ubersuggest cost?

Individual is $29/mo or $192 a year, Business is $49/mo or $326 a year, and Enterprise is $99/mo or $657 a year, and the jump between them is seats and projects. Each lifetime price equals 10 months of that plan's monthly rate, a short prepay against the monthly bill. Monthly plans include one 7-day trial, and each add-on, whether a user, a project, or a block of keywords, is $5/mo.

Is the Ubersuggest lifetime deal worth it?

It is the cheaper path if you stay longer than about a year and a half and you can accept a thinner AI quota. The price list sets lifetime AI prompts to on demand and cuts prompt ideas to 10 per search, so the prepaid plan does less AI work than the subscription. Individual lifetime lists 200 monthly credits instead of 250, while Business lifetime keeps 500 credits, so the middle plan does not shrink the credit meter. The purchase is non-refundable, so use the monthly trial before you pay. The pricing page's "Save 90%" label is larger than the discount versus 12 months of Ubersuggest's own monthly rate.

Does Ubersuggest have a free plan?

You can cancel a paid plan or downgrade to a free account at any time. The pricing page does not print that free account's search cap, keyword cap, or project cap, so you cannot tell what the free tier allows before you sign up. The only no-cost window the page does print is the trial on a monthly subscription.

How does Ubersuggest compare with Semrush?

Semrush's SEO plan tracks 500 keywords a day on 5 websites and includes AI visibility reports, while Ubersuggest's entry plan tracks keywords once a week on a single project, so the daily monitor is what the higher invoice buys. Semrush Starter adds 50 AI prompts a day, while Ubersuggest's top plan checks 20 prompts a week, a different clock rather than a smaller copy of the same report. Pick Semrush when the daily data and the wider toolkit are the job, and pick Ubersuggest when the bill has to stay on Individual or Business.

How does Ubersuggest compare with Moz Pro for a small site?

Moz Pro Standard tracks 300 keywords a month and 150 AI prompts, with weekly prompt updates, on 3 sites and 1 user, a tighter site list with a longer AI watchlist. Ubersuggest Business tracks 150 keywords a week on each of 7 projects, with 15 AI prompts every two weeks and 2 users, a wider client roster at a lower entry rate. Starter on Moz is a one-website plan, and its keyword cap is not printed.
