SE Ranking Review 2026

What SE Ranking's Core and Growth plans cost in dollars once seats and add-ons are counted, and where it sits against Semrush, Ahrefs and Moz Pro.

TL;DR

SE Ranking is worth it in 2026 for a small SEO team or agency that tracks up to 2,000 keywords a day, because Core costs $103.20 a month billed yearly ($129 billed monthly) and comes with a 14-day trial that needs no card. Growth, at $223.20 a month billed yearly, lifts the ceiling to 5,000 keywords, 30 projects and historical data across the project lifetime.

The plan price is not the whole bill. Core includes one manager seat, and each extra seat costs from $16 a month, so a three-person team on Core pays $1,622.40 a year. Growth includes three seats and comes to $2,678.40 a year. SE Ranking has no permanent free plan, so a team that needs a free tier should look elsewhere.

SE Ranking covers the same daily work as Semrush or Ahrefs: rank tracking, site audits, keyword and competitor research, backlinks, a content editor and AI search tracking.

The buying question is whether a smaller invoice still buys enough of that work, and whether the seat costs change the answer.

Toolradar data: Toolradar tracks 253 SEO tools as of 10 October 2026, and 47% of them are free, freemium or open source.

The median cheapest paid plan across the 106 that publish a price is $31.78 a month. SE Ranking's cheapest paid plan costs more than three times that.

Its Toolradar profile aggregates a 4.7 rating from 2,710 reviews across the web, last checked 17 September 2026.

Methodology: we read SE Ranking's pricing page, its FAQ and its comparison page against Ahrefs on 10 October 2026, plus the pricing pages of Semrush, Ahrefs and Moz Pro the same day.

What is SE Ranking?

SE Ranking is an all-in-one SEO platform for rank tracking, site audits, backlink research, competitor analysis and content work, with AI search tracking alongside. Its plans scale on three things: projects (one per website), keywords tracked each day and manager seats.

Core and Growth are self-serve, and Enterprise is a custom quote. For the head-to-head between the two big suites, read Ahrefs vs Semrush first.

AI search tracking is part of both paid plans, with an add-on on top.

Core tracks 100 prompts a day across five LLMs, and Growth tracks 250. A separate AI Search add-on sells its own prompt tiers, priced in euros on the pricing page, so this review does not put a dollar figure on it.

How SE Ranking works

In daily use the rank tracker and the audit do most of the work. Core and Growth both track keywords daily, and the audit allowance is 250,000 pages a month on Core and 2 million on Growth. The connectors for Data Studio, Matomo, GA4 and Search Console come with every plan, so a client dashboard does not need a second tool.

For free alternatives to a paid rank tracker, see our free rank tracker roundup.

Growth adds the features a team reaches for once it has a routine: guest links for clients, page change monitoring, historical data across the project lifetime and dedicated support.

Each manager seat can edit projects and add keywords, while client users are view-only, according to the FAQ. That split is why the seat count matters.

SE Ranking key features

Daily rank tracking on every planEssential
Core tracks 2,000 keywords a day and Growth 5,000, so rankings refresh every day on either plan rather than on a weekly cycle.
Projects and keywords as the price ladderEssential
Core allows 10 projects and Growth 30. The keyword limit is shared across every project in the account, so one busy site can use up the allowance for all of them.
AI prompt tracking inside the plan
Core includes 100 prompts a day and Growth 250, across five LLMs, with unlimited AI sources tracking. Larger AI Search tiers are a separate add-on.
Agency Pack for client work
An add-on from $69 a month, billed annually only, that adds 30 client seats, white-label reporting, the Lead Generator and Agency Catalog placement.
Historical data on Growth only
Growth keeps historical data across the project lifetime. The Core plan does not list it, so trend history is a reason to step up.
Connectors on every plan
Data Studio, Matomo, GA4 and Search Console links work on Core and Growth alike.

SE Ranking pricing

Prices verified on SE Ranking's own pages, 10 October 2026. SE Ranking's pricing page shows euro prices to visitors in France, so the USD figures come from its FAQ and its comparison page against Ahrefs, both of which list dollars.

Core and Growth list monthly and yearly rates in the table below. Annual billing saves 20% and is paid upfront. A quarterly schedule against an annual commitment is not self-serve; larger accounts can sometimes arrange one through sales.

The costs that move the bill sit on top of the plan.

Extra manager seats cost from $16 a month each on either plan. The Agency Pack costs from $69 a month on annual billing only, and the API starts at $45 a month. AI Search is a separate add-on priced in euros on the pricing page.

Enterprise is a custom quote with custom limits and pricing. For how the Semrush trial compares, see our Semrush free trial guide.

SE Ranking pros and cons

What we like

  • Core tracks 2,000 keywords a day and 100 AI prompts a day on its entry plan, and Growth tracks 5,000 keywords a day.
  • The 14-day trial needs no card, and annual plans include free assisted migration, according to the FAQ.
  • Toolradar aggregates a 4.7 rating from 2,710 reviews across the web, checked 17 September 2026.

What could be better

  • No permanent free plan. The 14-day trial is the only no-cost way to use a paid plan.
  • Extra seats are billed on top of the plan, so a three-person team on Core pays for two of them every month.
  • Toolradar's SE Ranking profile lists its smaller data set than Ahrefs as a drawback.

Who SE Ranking is for

SE Ranking suits a small SEO team, a freelance consultant or a small agency that runs several client sites and wants daily rank tracking, audits and AI prompt tracking without an enterprise invoice. Core covers one team member tracking up to 2,000 keywords a day across ten projects.

An agency that bills client work usually needs Growth, which includes three seats, 5,000 keywords and historical data.

Skip it if backlink depth is the main job: SE Ranking's own FAQ concedes that Ahrefs is especially strong on backlink data, and Toolradar lists Ahrefs as freemium.

For one site tracking under 300 keywords a month, Moz Pro Standard costs less on yearly billing and covers that list. For the broader SEO question, read the Semrush review and the free keyword research tools guide.

The bottom line

Buy SE Ranking Core on annual billing if you need daily rank tracking for up to 2,000 keywords, up to ten projects and AI prompt tracking on one subscription, and your team is three people or fewer.

Move to Growth once you need 5,000 keywords, 30 projects, historical data and three seats in the plan price.

Choose Moz Pro Standard instead if your keyword list is under 300 a month and the job is one site. Stay with Semrush or Ahrefs if backlink and keyword depth outweigh price.
