Moz Pro Review 2026

What Moz Pro costs on each plan in October 2026, what the seat and add-on fees add to the bill, and which SEO teams should pay for it.

TL;DR

Short answer: Moz Pro is worth it for a small SEO team that wants Domain Authority, rank tracking and AI visibility on one seat-based bill. It starts at $79 a month billed yearly on Standard, the cheapest plan that covers more than one site. Starter covers a single website. Medium, at $143 a month billed yearly, is the step up once a team tracks more than three sites, since it covers 10.

The catch is what the list price leaves out. Every seat past the two included on Medium is billed on top, and extra keywords, prompts and crawl volume all carry their own overage rates. Budget for the add-ons before you pick a plan.

Moz Pro is the SEO suite from Moz, the company behind Domain Authority. It now also tracks AI visibility across GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity. The buying question is not whether the tools work.

It is whether the bill stays predictable as the team, the client list and the keyword count grow.

Toolradar data: 253 SEO tools tracked as of October 10, 2026, and the median cheapest paid plan is $31.78 a month across the 106 that publish a price.

Moz's Starter tier sits about 54 percent above that median, and its Standard plan billed yearly is about 2.5 times it.

That gap is the first thing a budget buyer should weigh, and the SEO tools ranking on Toolradar shows the full field.

Every Moz price here was read on Moz's pricing page and its pricing FAQ, checked on October 10, 2026.

Toolradar's profile of the product carries a 4.4 out of 5 aggregate across 958 reviews, and the rest of this page covers what the bill looks like once it leaves the pricing table.

What is Moz Pro?

Moz Pro is a paid SEO software suite built around keyword research, rank tracking, site crawls, backlink queries and AI visibility tracking. Every plan caps tracked keywords, tracked sites, pages crawled and AI prompts each month, so the plan you choose is a set of quotas as much as a set of features.

Moz Pro has no permanent free plan.

A separate free Moz Community account gives limited access to MozBar, Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer, and Moz's pages also promote a free trial. For AI visibility on its own, see the Peec AI review and the GEO tools guide.

How Moz Pro works

A Moz Pro account is organized around campaigns. Under Moz's own definition, a campaign tracks one site or URL plus three competitor sites, and the plan caps the number of campaigns: 3 on Standard, 10 on Medium and 25 on Large.

Keyword rankings draw on a monthly quota of 300, 1,500 or 3,000 keywords on those three plans, so adding a client means checking the keyword cap first.

The research side has its own meter. Keyword queries are capped at 150 a month on Standard, 5,000 on Medium and 15,000 on Large.

AI visibility runs on a prompt list: 150 tracked prompts on Standard, 300 on Medium and 600 on Large, with 3, 6 and 12 AI Visibility Dashboards on those plans. Keyword research on no budget is covered in the free keyword research tools guide.

Moz Pro key features

Campaigns with three competitorsEssential
A campaign covers one site or URL and three competitors. The plan sets the count: 3 campaigns on Standard, 10 on Medium and 25 on Large.
Domain Authority, Page Authority and Brand AuthorityEssential
Moz's pricing page names these three authority measures as part of the data behind the plans. Teams that already report Domain Authority to clients keep the same metric.
Tracked AI prompts across four models
Prompts run on GPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity: 150 on Standard, 300 on Medium and 600 on Large. Extra prompts are sold in blocks of 100.
Monthly keyword and crawl quotas
Standard includes 300 keywords and 400K pages crawled a month, Medium 1,500 and 2M, Large 3,000 and 5M. Crossing a quota is what pushes the bill up.
Seats priced per user
Standard includes 1 user, Medium 2 and Large 3. Each extra seat is billed on top of the plan price.

Moz Pro pricing

Moz sells Standard, Medium and Large in USD, each with a monthly and a yearly rate. Standard is $99 a month billed monthly or $79 a month billed yearly, Medium is $179 or $143, and Large is $299 or $239.

The pricing page shows the first-year totals as $950 for Standard, $1,719 for Medium and $2,868 for Large, and Moz's FAQ describes the yearly rate as a 20 percent discount on the base plan.

The Moz Pro pricing page is the source for every figure here.

The entry Starter plan covers one website at a monthly rate, and the pricing page gives no yearly rate for it. Enterprise is quoted by Moz rather than listed.

Add-ons are where the bill moves.

Moz's pricing page puts an extra campaign at $10 a month, 200 extra keywords at $20 a month, and 50,000 extra pages crawled at $15 a month. Its comparison table lists extra AI prompts at $50 per 100. Two worked cases: a three-person team on Medium pays $192 a month billed yearly, which is $143 plus $49 for the third seat.

A solo marketer on Standard who adds 100 prompts pays $129 a month billed yearly, the Standard rate plus $50.

Methodology: plan prices, seat fees and add-on rates come from Moz's pricing page and FAQ, checked on October 10, 2026, in USD.

The category median and the ratings come from Toolradar, our own directory, last checked in September and October 2026. Competitors are described only from their own pages, and a competitor whose pricing page shows euro prices is left without a price rather than converted.

Who Moz Pro is for

Moz Pro fits a small SEO team or a solo consultant with a fixed client list who wants authority metrics, rank tracking and AI visibility checks on one bill. The Medium plan, with two seats and 10 sites, suits a team of two that runs a portfolio of client sites.

Skip it if you need a permanent free plan, or if link data is the main reason to buy.

Toolradar's editorial summary of the product lists a smaller link index as a con, so test the link data against your own queries before you commit.

If Moz Pro is not the right invoice, the next step is a direct comparison.

The Semrush review and the Ahrefs review cover the two suites a buyer is most likely to weigh against it, and the free rank trackers guide covers the no-budget end of the market.

For the cheaper end of the Ahrefs range, the cheaper Ahrefs alternatives post runs the numbers, and the Semrush alternatives review covers the Semrush side.

Toolradar also keeps profiles of Semrush and Ahrefs.

The bottom line

Frequently asked questions

Is Moz Pro worth it in 2026?

Yes for a small SEO team that wants Domain Authority, rank tracking and AI visibility on one bill. Standard covers 3 sites and 300 keywords, and Medium covers 10 sites, 1,500 keywords and two users. A team with more than one client site should start on Standard, since Starter covers one website only.

How much does Moz Pro cost?

Starter covers one website at a monthly rate. Standard is $99 a month billed monthly or $79 billed yearly, Medium is $179 or $143 billed yearly, and Large is $299 or $239 billed yearly. Enterprise is quoted by Moz. Extra users are billed per seat on any plan. The figures were checked on Moz's pricing page on October 10, 2026.

Does Moz Pro have a free plan?

No permanent free plan exists. A free Moz Community account gives limited access to MozBar, Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer, and Moz's pages also promote a free trial. Moz publishes no trial length on its pricing page.

What are the hidden costs of Moz Pro?

Add-ons are the main ones. An extra campaign costs $10 a month, 200 extra keywords cost $20 a month, 50,000 extra pages crawled cost $15 a month, and extra AI prompts cost $50 per 100. Extra users are billed per seat, so a three-person team on Medium pays $192 a month billed yearly.

Is Moz Pro cheaper than Ahrefs or Semrush?

Standard is cheaper than Ahrefs' Lite, Medium is not. Moz's Standard, billed yearly, costs less than Ahrefs' $129 Lite plan at its monthly rate, but it tracks 300 keywords against Lite's 750. Moz's Medium costs $143 a month billed yearly for 1,500 keywords, 300 prompts and two users, which is more per dollar than Lite's 750 keywords, 5 prompts and one user. The billing terms differ. Semrush prices its plans in euros on its pricing page, so this page makes no dollar comparison with it.
