Ahrefs Pricing in 2026: Every Plan, Credits and Hidden Costs
Ahrefs runs $129/mo for Lite, $249/mo for Standard, $449/mo for Advanced and $1,499/mo for Enterprise in 2026. Every credit limit and hidden fee, verified today.
Ahrefs' self-serve plans span $129/mo for Lite up through Standard and Advanced to $1,499/mo for Enterprise, on an annual contract at that top tier. Lite, Standard and Advanced each bundle one user by default, and the number that actually caps your work is crawl credits and tracked keywords, not seats, so a solo marketer and a five-person team can pay the exact same base price and hit very different walls.
Prices below are what Ahrefs' own pricing page showed in USD, checked on that vendor page today, 25 September 2026. Ahrefs geo-prices by default and shows euros to a French visitor, so we pulled these figures through the site's own USD currency view rather than converting anything ourselves, the same care our Ahrefs vs Semrush comparison on Toolradar takes with its own numbers.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracked 245 SEO tools in its live ranking as of 24 September 2026. The full list, with Ahrefs among the comprehensive platforms it groups alongside Semrush and Moz, is the best SEO tools guide, a useful next stop for anyone who landed here from our own best AI SEO tools roundup. Toolradar also keeps a dedicated Ahrefs pricing breakdown for a software-buyer angle on the same numbers.
At a glance
| Plan | Best for | Price (USD) | Users, credits and keywords |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | A solo marketer or small site checking rankings and backlinks | $129/mo | 1 user, 750 tracked keywords, 100,000 crawl credits, 5 projects |
| Standard | A growing in-house team running several sites | $249/mo | 1 user, 2,000 tracked keywords, 500,000 crawl credits, 20 projects |
| Advanced | An agency or larger team juggling many clients | $449/mo | 1 user, 5,000 tracked keywords, 1,500,000 crawl credits, 50 projects |
| Enterprise | Large orgs needing SSO, uncapped API and custom limits | From $1,499/mo, annual contract | From 3 users, from 10,000 tracked keywords, from 5,000,000 crawl credits |
Lite, Standard and Advanced ship one user by default; Enterprise starts with three included. Adding people costs more on every plan, and the per-seat fee climbs as the plan does, which is the first thing a team budgeting for Ahrefs gets wrong.
What each plan actually costs
Lite
Lite covers 5 projects, six months of historical data, 750 tracked keywords and 100,000 monthly crawl credits, with a cap of 25,000 pages per project and 2,500 rows per report. A second and third user cost $40/mo each, capped at two extra seats, and every added seat carries its own 1,000-credit monthly allowance rather than sharing the plan's pool.
It fits a freelancer or a single-site business checking rankings, running the occasional site audit and doing light keyword research. Six months of history is the real ceiling: if your job involves proving a ranking trend over a year or comparing this quarter against the same quarter last year, Lite cannot show you that chart.
Standard
Standard triples the project count to 20, stretches historical data to two years and roughly triples tracked keywords to 2,000, on 500,000 crawl credits a month. Report exports jump to 1.5 million rows monthly, and per-user credits go unlimited instead of Lite's 1,000-credit cap. Extra users cost $60/mo each, up to five beyond the one included.
The jump that matters here is the two years of historical data, which is what makes year-over-year SEO reporting possible at all. An in-house team running a handful of client sites or a mid-size business tracking a real content program is the natural buyer; a single freelancer rarely needs 20 projects or 2,000 tracked keywords.
Advanced
Advanced holds 50 projects, five years of history, 5,000 tracked keywords and 1,500,000 crawl credits, with report exports up to 4 million rows and a 250,000-page-per-project crawl ceiling. Extra seats run $80/mo each, up to ten on top of the included user, so a fully staffed team can reach 11 seats without leaving self-serve billing.
Agencies land here because 50 projects is the point where managing separate client accounts on Standard stops making financial sense. Five years of history also matters for anyone pitching a prospect on long-term SEO gains, since it is the only self-serve tier that can pull a multi-year backlink or ranking chart on demand.
Enterprise
Enterprise has a public starting figure, unlike most vendors that hide the number entirely, but it still requires an annual commitment and Ahrefs adjusts limits per account. What is fixed at that floor: three included users (versus one on every plan below it), uncapped API access, custom API endpoints, SSO, unlimited historical data and personalized higher limits on top of everything in Advanced. Extra users beyond those three cost $100/mo each, the highest per-seat rate of any tier, with no stated cap on how many you can add.
Buyers here are large organizations that have hit Advanced's ceilings on data exports or crawl volume, or that need SSO and an audit log for security sign-off before procurement will approve the tool at all. If your negotiation opens well below that floor, you are not talking about the plan Ahrefs lists publicly.
The costs the plan page does not spell out
Extra users are priced per plan, not as one flat rate. Lite charges $40/mo per added seat, Standard $60/mo, Advanced $80/mo and Enterprise $100/mo, each capped differently (two more on Lite, five on Standard, ten on Advanced). A five-person team on Standard pays its base rate plus four extra seats at that per-seat rate, $489/mo before any add-on, well past the headline number most people remember.
Crawl credits and tracked keywords are the two limits that actually throttle usage, and they do not carry over. Ahrefs' own compare table shows Lite capped at 25,000 crawled pages per project against Advanced's 250,000, a 10x gap that matters the moment a client site grows past a few thousand URLs.
Report Builder and Content Kit are separate paid add-ons, not included on any base plan. Report Builder runs $99/mo for 50 reports and 500 total widgets with scheduling, and Content Kit starts from $99/mo for AI content grading and briefing tools, the same job our best content optimization tools list covers with dedicated products. Project Boost Pro adds always-on site audits and instant recrawls for $20/mo per project, and Project Boost Max, with unlimited AI detection URLs, runs $200/mo per project, both charged on top of whatever base plan a project sits on.
Brand Radar, Ahrefs' AI-visibility tracker, ships a limited number of tracked prompts on every base plan (5 on Lite, 10 on Standard, 20 on Advanced) and sells standalone custom prompt packages for teams that need more without upgrading the whole account: Basic at $50/mo for 2,500 checks, Growth at $100/mo for 7,000 checks, and Scale at $250/mo for 25,000 checks, each with a per-check overage rate if you exceed the package. Our best GEO and AI search optimization tools roundup covers standalone alternatives if AI-prompt tracking, not backlinks, is the feature actually driving your search.
Ahrefs states it never runs discounts on its plans, only the standard annual option, which the pricing page lists as saving up to 17% over paying month to month without breaking out the exact per-plan annual rate. Pair that with our best brand monitoring tools roundup if brand and AI visibility, not raw SEO data, is the feature actually driving your evaluation, since several competitors in that list price AI visibility as a cheaper standalone product than Ahrefs does.
Ahrefs vs Moz Pro, SE Ranking and SpyFu: what a team actually pays
A single Ahrefs Lite seat is not the number a team should compare against a rival's headline price, because none of these tools bill the same way. Here is what a small team of three actually pays on a comparable mid-tier plan, verified on each vendor's own pricing page today.
| Tool | Entry tier a real team uses | Monthly price | What caps it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ahrefs Standard | 1 user + 2 extra seats | $249 + 2 x $60 = $369/mo | 2,000 tracked keywords, 500,000 crawl credits |
| Moz Pro Medium | 2 users included, 1 extra seat | $179 + $49 = $228/mo | 1,500 tracked keywords/mo, 2M pages crawled/mo |
| SE Ranking Growth | 3 manager seats included | $279/mo (or $223.20/mo billed annually) | 5,000 keywords tracked daily, 2M audit pages/mo |
| SpyFu Team/Agency | 5 users included | $249/mo ($187/mo billed annually) | 50,000 weekly tracked keyword rankings, unlimited exports |
Moz Pro's pricing page lists Medium at $179/mo (or $143/mo billed yearly) with 2 users and a $49/mo flat rate for every additional seat on any tier, the simplest per-seat structure of the four. SE Ranking's pricing page bundles 3 manager seats into Growth and charges by daily keyword checks rather than a fixed monthly tracked-keyword count. SpyFu's pricing page includes 5 users on its Team/Agency tier for the same monthly price as one Ahrefs Standard seat plus two extras, though SpyFu's backlink and content data go noticeably shallower than Ahrefs' once you compare actual crawl depth.
Semrush is the other name that comes up in every Ahrefs comparison, and its plans (SEO, Starter, Pro+, Advanced) load their prices dynamically by region, and we could not confirm a US dollar figure on Semrush's pricing page today; check current pricing directly with Semrush before comparing it against the dollar figures above. Our Semrush review covers what each of its tiers includes.
The pattern across all four: Ahrefs' per-seat cost rises faster than its rivals as a team grows, but its crawl credits and historical data depth per plan are usually larger at the same price point. A team optimizing for headcount saves money on Moz Pro or SpyFu; a team optimizing for data depth on fewer seats gets more out of Ahrefs.
Is Ahrefs worth it in 2026?
For a solo operator or a single site, Lite buys real backlink and rank-tracking data that most cheaper tools do not match, and six months of history is enough for day-to-day work even if it will not carry a year-over-year report. The jump to Standard is worth it the moment two years of trend data or a second site pushes you past Lite's limits.
Advanced earns its price for agencies specifically because of the 50-project ceiling and five-year history, not because the core keyword or backlink data changes much from Standard. Enterprise is a different conversation entirely, gated by SSO and compliance needs more than by raw data limits, and its published floor is not a typical contract size.
The honest read: Ahrefs' headline prices look steep next to Moz Pro or SpyFu, and per additional seat they are, but the crawl credits, project counts and historical depth per dollar hold up well against Standard and SE Ranking's Growth tier once you actually compare what each plan caps. Budget for extra seats before you sign, since that line item, not the base price, is what most teams miss, a mistake we cover in more general terms in our AI marketing workflows piece on stacking paid tools without blowing a team's software budget.
How we verified this
Every Ahrefs price and limit above came from Ahrefs' own pricing page, read in USD on 25 September 2026 through the site's own currency view. Competitor figures came from Moz Pro's pricing page, SE Ranking's pricing page and SpyFu's pricing page, each read on the same date. The Toolradar figure (245 SEO tools tracked) came from Toolradar's live SEO tools ranking, last updated 24 September 2026. Nobody paid for placement in this page, and every other tool review linked from this one lives in our software review library. Re-check each vendor's pricing page before you buy, since plan limits and per-seat rates change without notice.
FAQ
How much does Ahrefs cost per month in 2026?
Lite is $129/mo, Standard is $249/mo, Advanced is $449/mo, and Enterprise starts at $1,499/mo on an annual contract. Lite, Standard and Advanced include one user (Enterprise includes three); extra seats cost more on top, from $40/mo on Lite up to $100/mo on Enterprise.
Is there a free Ahrefs plan?
Ahrefs offers a limited free product, Ahrefs Free, with restricted access to Site Explorer and Site Audit, separate from the four paid plans above. There is no free tier of the full Lite, Standard, Advanced or Enterprise product.
How much does it cost to add users to an Ahrefs plan?
It depends on the plan: $40/mo per extra user on Lite (up to 2 more), $60/mo on Standard (up to 5 more), $80/mo on Advanced (up to 10 more), and $100/mo on Enterprise, which includes three users by default and has no stated cap on extras. A three-person team on Standard pays the base rate plus $120 for two extra seats, $369/mo total.
Does Ahrefs offer annual discounts?
Yes, Ahrefs states paying annually saves up to 17% over the monthly rate on Lite, Standard and Advanced, though the pricing page does not break out the exact discounted amount per plan. Ahrefs also says it never runs promotional discounts outside that annual option.
Is Ahrefs cheaper than Semrush?
Semrush's current plans (SEO, Starter, Pro+, Advanced) load their prices dynamically by region, and we could not confirm a US dollar figure on Semrush's pricing page as of this writing. Check Semrush's pricing page directly before comparing it against Ahrefs' published USD tiers.
What is the cheapest way to track AI search visibility with Ahrefs?
Every base Ahrefs plan includes a small number of tracked AI prompts (5 on Lite, 10 on Standard, 20 on Advanced) through Brand Radar. Teams that need more without upgrading the whole account can add a standalone custom prompt package starting at $50/mo for 2,500 checks, rather than moving to a higher Ahrefs tier just for AI-visibility tracking.
Which Ahrefs plan is best for an agency?
Advanced is built for agency use with 50 projects and five years of historical data, the depth needed to report long-term results across multiple client accounts. Standard's 20-project cap runs out fast once an agency passes a handful of active clients.
