Leadpages vs Unbounce 2026: Visitor Caps, A/B Testing and Price
Leadpages vs Unbounce in 2026: A/B testing is $99/mo on Leadpages and $149/mo on Unbounce, which caps visitors and bills $80 per extra 10,000. Leadpages has no cap.

Leadpages is the cheaper way to A/B test landing pages in 2026, and Unbounce is the one to buy when you need more than one seat and native traffic routing on a mid-tier plan. A/B testing starts on Leadpages Grow at $99/mo with no visitor cap, and on Unbounce Experiment at $149/mo with a 30,000-visitor cap. Both entry plans cost $29/mo, but Unbounce Starter allows 500 visitors and 5 pages where Leadpages Pro allows 25 pages and unlimited traffic. Prices were checked on both vendors' pricing pages on 26 October 2026.
The difference is the meter. Unbounce bills by monthly unique visitors on every plan and charges a one-time $80 for each extra 10,000 visitors past the cap. Leadpages bills by features and page count, with no traffic limit on any plan. A team that runs paid traffic in spikes pays Unbounce for its best months; a team with a fixed budget per campaign pays the same on Leadpages whatever the ad spend does.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracked 71 landing page tools on 26 October 2026, and 46 of them (65%) offer a free tier, per the landing pages statistics page. Neither product on this page is one of them: both sell a trial instead of a free plan. The directory records are Leadpages on Toolradar and Unbounce on Toolradar. How each bill is built
Unbounce prices four things at once: pages, visitors, users and root domains, and the visitor line is the one that moves. Starter is $29/mo for 5 pages, 500 visitors, 1 user and 1 domain. Build is $99/mo for unlimited pages, 20,000 visitors, still 1 user and 1 domain. Experiment is $149/mo for 30,000 visitors, 3 users and 2 domains, and Optimize is $249/mo for 50,000 visitors, 5 users and 3 domains. Yearly billing takes 25% off, so the same ladder reads $22, $74, $112 and $187 a month on Unbounce's pricing page.
Unbounce counts a visitor once per month however often they return, and the allowance is per account, not per client or page. Past the cap, pages keep running and the account is charged $80 for every extra 10,000 visitors, rounded up, per Unbounce's traffic limit help article. Unbounce's own example is an Optimize account that draws 85,000 visitors in a month and pays a $320 overage at the end of the cycle.
Leadpages prices pages and features, and ignores traffic. Pro is $29/mo for 25 pages, 1 custom domain and 12,000 AI credits. Business is $49/mo for 50 pages, 2 domains and 20,000 credits. Grow is $99/mo for unlimited pages, 4 domains, manual A/B testing with 6 variants per page, dynamic text replacement and 1,000 lead enrichments a month. Optimize is $199/mo for 6 domains, Smart Traffic, heatmaps, multivariate tests and 3 team seats. Annual billing takes 20% off every plan, per Leadpages' pricing page, which also names a Scale plan in its FAQ that the plan cards do not show.
The seat count is the Leadpages catch. Pro, Business and Grow include one team seat, and only Optimize includes three, so an agency with two people building pages pays the Optimize rate on Leadpages before it gets a second login. Unbounce gives that agency 3 users on Experiment, which is why the seat row in the table goes the other way.
What a paid-media team pays for A/B testing
A solo marketer who wants to split-test every campaign pays $1,188 a year on Leadpages Grow and $1,788 on Unbounce Experiment on monthly billing, our arithmetic from the printed monthly rates. The $600 gap buys the Unbounce account two more seats, unlimited variants instead of six, confidence intervals and a 30,000-visitor allowance. The Leadpages account gets four custom domains instead of two and no traffic ceiling.
Billed yearly, the gap narrows but does not close. Leadpages' 20% discount puts Grow at $950.40 a year on our arithmetic, and Unbounce prints Experiment at $112 a month, which is $1,344 a year. At 30,000 visitors a month both plans cost what the card says; at 40,000 visitors the Unbounce account adds $80 that month, and at 85,000 the overage is the $320 in Unbounce's own example.
Traffic routing is the next tier on both. Leadpages puts Smart Traffic, heatmaps, auto-personalization and multivariate tests on Optimize at $199/mo. Unbounce puts its AI traffic routing, page scheduling, audience insights and industry benchmarks on its own Optimize at $249/mo, with a 50,000-visitor cap. A team that already knows it wants routing pays $50 a month less on Leadpages and gets no cap, but one seat fewer than Unbounce's five.
The Leadpages pricing page lists every limit by plan, and Unbounce pricing does the same for the visitor ladder. For the third builder most teams shortlist, Unbounce vs Instapage prices the same A/B testing question against Instapage, the Instapage review covers the editor, and Instapage pricing carries its visitor caps.
Where the visitor cap bites
The cap is irrelevant below 20,000 monthly visitors and decisive above 50,000. A consultant sending 3,000 visitors a month to a webinar page never touches Unbounce's Build limit, and the two products compete on editor and price. A DTC brand that pushes 70,000 visitors a month from Meta ads into landing pages pays Unbounce $249/mo for Optimize plus $160 in overage that month on our arithmetic, or moves to a Concierge plan that starts at 100,000 visitors with no printed price.
On Leadpages that brand pays the Grow rate, or Optimize if it wants routing, and the traffic line does not exist. Leadpages' pricing page makes exactly this comparison itself, naming Unbounce's 20,000-visitor Build cap, and the Unbounce page confirms the figure, so the claim stands on both vendors' numbers.
Where Unbounce's structure helps is predictability for agencies. Traffic is pooled per account across client sub-folders, so an agency on Optimize knows it has 50,000 visitors to spread across clients, and the Agency plan starts at 50,000 visitors, 10 root domains and 5 users at a quoted price. Leadpages tops out at 6 custom domains on Optimize and does not print an agency plan, so an agency with ten client domains needs its Enterprise quote.
Pages, domains, AI credits and seats
Pages run out first on Leadpages' publishing plans and visitors run out first on Unbounce's. Leadpages Pro stops at 25 pages and Business at 50, and unlimited pages start on Grow. Unbounce Starter stops at 5 pages, and every plan from Build upward is unlimited. A business with 30 evergreen pages and little traffic fits Unbounce Build or Leadpages Business at $49/mo, and Leadpages wins on price by half.
Custom domains favor Leadpages at every tier: 1, 2, 4 and 6 against Unbounce's 1, 1, 2 and 3 root domains. Seats favor Unbounce: 1, 1, 3 and 5 against Leadpages' 1, 1, 1 and 3. A two-person marketing team with one domain should price Unbounce Experiment; a one-person team juggling four client domains should price Leadpages Grow.
AI credits are printed on both pages and are not comparable unit for unit. Unbounce includes 4,000 credits on Starter, 30,000 on Build, 40,000 on Experiment and 80,000 on Optimize, and says a full page prompt takes about 2,000 credits. Leadpages includes 12,000, 20,000, 40,000 and 80,000 across its four plans, sells top-up packs from $2.50, and does not print a per-page cost. Both expose an MCP server so a page can be built from Claude or ChatGPT, and both include it on every plan.
Trials, cancellation and what the pricing pages do not say
Unbounce's trial is 14 days with no credit card, and the FAQ says it includes full functionality with a single user, no custom domains and some traffic restrictions. Leadpages' trial is 7 days, collects a card at checkout and converts to the paid plan on day 7 unless cancelled. Downgrades on Unbounce take effect at the end of the billing cycle, and Leadpages applies plan changes at the next cycle too.
Neither page prints a free plan. Unbounce's page carries a "start free, no credit card required, for a limited time" banner tied to the trial, which is a promotion rather than a plan. Unbounce's Concierge and Agency tiers and Leadpages' Enterprise tier are quote-only, so an account past 50,000 visitors or 6 domains has no printed price on either side. The wider market, including builders with real free tiers, is ranked on best landing page builders, and ClickFunnels pricing and ClickFunnels alternatives cover the funnel-first option that bundles email and checkout.
Which should you buy?
Buy Leadpages Grow when one person runs the account, traffic is unpredictable and A/B testing is the goal, because the Grow rate with no cap is the lowest testing price of the two. Buy Unbounce Experiment when two or three people need logins, variants should be unlimited, and monthly traffic sits reliably under 30,000. Buy Unbounce Optimize or Agency when traffic is pooled across clients and you want a dedicated success manager, and buy Leadpages Optimize when you want routing and heatmaps at $199/mo with six domains.
Read the Leadpages review and the Unbounce review for the editors themselves, because this page prices plans and does not judge templates or output.
How we priced it
Prices, limits, seats and domain counts were read on the Leadpages and Unbounce pricing pages on 26 October 2026, on both the monthly and the yearly toggle. The overage rule and the 85,000-visitor example come from Unbounce's traffic limit help article, read the same day. Yearly figures for Leadpages are our arithmetic from the printed 20% discount, since its page prints monthly rates. This site runs no test lab and did not build pages in either product for this comparison.
FAQ
Is Leadpages cheaper than Unbounce in 2026?
At the entry tier both cost the same on monthly billing, but Leadpages Pro includes 25 pages and unlimited traffic while Unbounce Starter includes 5 pages and 500 visitors. At the A/B testing tier Leadpages Grow undercuts Unbounce Experiment by $50 a month, a $600 gap over a year on our arithmetic. Unbounce is cheaper only in the sense that its yearly discount is 25% against Leadpages' 20%.
Does Unbounce charge for extra visitors?
Yes. Every Unbounce plan has a monthly unique-visitor cap, 500 on Starter, 20,000 on Build, 30,000 on Experiment and 50,000 on Optimize, and going over triggers a one-time charge of $80 per extra 10,000 visitors, rounded up. Pages keep running. Unbounce's own example is an Optimize account with 85,000 visitors paying a $320 overage.
Does Leadpages have a traffic limit?
No. Leadpages' pricing page says every plan has unlimited traffic and no overage fees. Its limits are pages (25 on Pro, 50 on Business, unlimited from Grow), custom domains (1, 2, 4 and 6) and team seats (1 until Optimize, which has 3).
Which plan do I need for A/B testing on each?
Leadpages Grow includes manual A/B testing with up to 6 variants per page and dynamic text replacement. Unbounce Experiment at $149/mo includes unlimited A/B testing, unlimited variants, manual traffic allocation and confidence intervals. AI traffic routing is on Optimize at both vendors, $199/mo at Leadpages and $249/mo at Unbounce.
Which is better for an agency?
Unbounce, on seats and pooled traffic: Experiment includes 3 users and Optimize 5, and the Agency plan starts at 10 root domains and 50,000 visitors at a quoted price. Leadpages includes one seat on every plan below Optimize and tops out at 6 custom domains, so an agency with several builders and many client domains needs its Enterprise quote.
Do Leadpages and Unbounce offer free trials?
Both do, with different terms. Unbounce gives 14 days with no credit card and full features, limited to one user and no custom domain. Leadpages gives 7 days with a card on file, and the plan bills on day 7 unless you cancel. Neither has a free plan.
