Systeme.io Pricing 2026: Is the Free Plan Enough?

Systeme.io pricing in 2026: a free plan for 2,000 contacts, then Startup $17, Webinar $47 and Unlimited $97 a month, or $170 to $970 a year. Limits and real costs.

Systeme.io Pricing 2026: Is the Free Plan Enough?

Systeme.io is free for up to 2,000 contacts, then costs $17/mo for Startup, $47/mo for Webinar and $97/mo for Unlimited on monthly billing. Annual billing prints as $170, $470 and $970 a year, which Systeme.io sells as two months free. A custom Teams plan is quoted, and no plan charges a transaction fee.

Our read: the free plan is enough for a creator testing one lead magnet and one small offer, and not for much more. Contacts are rarely the first limit people hit. One automation rule, one tag and one email campaign run out long before the contact cap, and that is what pushes most users to Startup.

All prices and limits were checked as of 19 October 2026 on Systeme.io's pricing page, on both the Monthly and Annual billing views, including its plan comparison table and pricing FAQ.

Toolradar data: Systeme.io's $17 Startup plan ranks #7 of 25 on price among the online course platforms with a verified entry price on Toolradar's Systeme.io profile, where the median entry plan is $36/mo (October 2026). It is one of the cheapest paid ways into a course and funnel tool. Dupple, which publishes MarketingShot, sends its own newsletters on beehiiv, not on Systeme.io or any tool priced here.

How much does each Systeme.io plan cost?

Systeme.io prices on contacts and usage caps, not on seats or revenue. The pricing page has a Monthly and an Annual toggle, so the table keeps the two billing modes in separate columns.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Contacts Funnels Automation rules Courses
Free $0 $0 2,000 3 1 1
Startup $17/mo $170/yr 5,000 10 10 5
Webinar $47/mo $470/yr 10,000 50 100 20
Unlimited $97/mo $970/yr Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited
For teams Custom Custom Everything in Unlimited Plus a dedicated success manager

Three things hold on every plan, free included. Emails sent are unlimited, file storage is unlimited, and the transaction fee is 0% on payments taken through Stripe or PayPal. The pricing page also lists unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, each with the same limits as the main account.

No credit card is needed to start, and the FAQ says a cancelled plan stays active until the next billing date before the account falls back to the free plan, so stopping payment downgrades the account rather than closing it.

What does the free plan include, and where does it stop?

The free plan is a real working account, not a trial, and it never expires. Beyond its contact cap, it covers 3 sales funnels with 15 funnel steps between them, 1 website, 1 blog, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 community, 1 custom domain and unlimited newsletters.

The tight limits sit in the marketing engine rather than the contact count:

Limit Free Startup
Tags 1 10
Automation rules 1 10
Workflows 1 5
Email campaigns 1 10
CRM pipelines 1 5
A/B tests 1 10
1-click upsells and order bumps 1 each 10 each
Coupon codes 1 10
Course students 500 Unlimited

One tag means you cannot segment subscribers by lead magnet or by buyer status, and one automation rule means only one "if this, then that" trigger for the whole account. A creator running a single opt-in page, one welcome sequence and occasional newsletters can live with that. A creator with two lead magnets, or who wants to tag buyers apart from free subscribers, cannot.

So the honest answer to "is the free plan enough" is yes for validating an idea and no for running a business on it. The 500-student cap on the one free course is the other early wall for course sellers.

When should you upgrade to Startup, Webinar or Unlimited?

Upgrade on the first limit you hit, which is usually automation, not contacts. Systeme.io's own FAQ maps plans to list size, but the caps on tags, rules and campaigns move most users up earlier.

Startup fits a solo creator with one main offer. Ten automation rules, ten tags and ten email campaigns cover a few lead magnets with their own sequences, and five courses with unlimited students cover a small catalog. The 5,000-contact cap is the next wall.

Webinar is the only step that adds a feature rather than raising caps: evergreen webinars, 10 of them. It also lifts contacts to 10,000, funnels to 50 and automation rules to 100. Buy it for the webinars or for a list that has outgrown Startup, not for anything else.

Unlimited removes the caps and adds early access to new features. Past the Webinar cap there is no other self-serve choice, so a growing list moves you here whether or not you need the rest.

How much does annual billing save?

Annual billing saves exactly two months on each paid plan: $34 a year on Startup, $94 on Webinar and $194 on Unlimited, compared with twelve monthly payments. The table in the next section shows both yearly totals for each plan.

The catch is the contact cap. A list that outgrows Startup halfway through its year forces an upgrade anyway, so annual billing makes most sense on the plan you expect to stay on, and on Unlimited, where no cap can push you out.

What a creator pays at 1,500, 4,000, 9,000 and 15,000 contacts

These scenarios pick the cheapest plan whose contact cap fits the list, then show a year on each billing mode. They assume one main account and no Teams plan.

List size Cheapest plan that fits Monthly billing, per year Annual billing
1,500 contacts, one funnel Free $0 $0
4,000 contacts, a few lead magnets Startup $204 $170
9,000 contacts, evergreen webinar Webinar $564 $470
15,000 contacts Unlimited $1,164 $970

The jump from 10,000 to 10,001 contacts is the most expensive step on the ladder: the monthly price more than doubles. A creator near that line should clean inactive contacts before the upgrade is forced, since every contact counts toward the cap.

How does Systeme.io compare with ClickFunnels and Kajabi?

Systeme.io is the cheapest of the three at every list size up to 10,000 contacts, and the only one with a free plan. Rival prices were read on 19 October 2026 on ClickFunnels' pricing page and Kajabi's pricing page; each row compares the same billing mode.

Need Systeme.io ClickFunnels Kajabi
Entry plan, monthly Startup $17: 5,000 contacts Launch $97: 10K contacts, 50K emails a month Basic $179: 2,500 contacts, 5 products
Entry plan, annual (per month) $170 a year $81/mo $143/mo
About 10,000 contacts, monthly Webinar $47 Launch, same plan as above Growth $249: 25,000 contacts
Free plan Yes, 2,000 contacts No No

At 10,000 contacts, Systeme.io Webinar costs about half of ClickFunnels Launch and under a fifth of Kajabi Growth on monthly billing. ClickFunnels caps email at 50,000 a month on Launch, while every Systeme.io plan sends unlimited emails.

The rivals earn their price in other places. ClickFunnels Scale adds priority and live chat support, a custom code editor, webhooks and full API access, and Kajabi sells a more course-and-community-centred product with up to 100,000 contacts on Pro. Systeme.io answers part of that with unlimited assistant accounts on every plan and API access whose rate limit rises from 30 requests a minute on Free to unlimited on Unlimited.

For the rival invoices, see our ClickFunnels review and Kajabi review. Directory profiles for ClickFunnels and Kajabi sit on Toolradar.

Which Systeme.io plan should you buy?

Start on the free plan if you are testing one offer. It costs nothing, never expires and runs a real funnel, a course and a newsletter, so there is no reason to pay before you know the offer sells.

Move to Startup the day you need a second tag or a second automation rule, which for most creators comes before the contact cap. It is the plan most solo businesses should sit on.

Buy Webinar only for evergreen webinars or a list above Startup's cap, and Unlimited once the list passes Webinar's. Choose annual billing on the plan you expect to keep for a year, since the saving disappears if you upgrade mid-term.

How we checked these prices

Plan prices on both billing modes, plan limits and the plan comparison table were read on 19 October 2026 on Systeme.io's pricing page, including its FAQ on cancellation and downgrades. Competitor prices come from ClickFunnels' pricing page and Kajabi's pricing page the same day. Savings and yearly totals are arithmetic on printed prices, not quotes. We did not run funnels in any of these products for this page. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, edited it; the editorial policy and how we rate explain what a pricing page will and will not claim.

FAQ

How much does Systeme.io cost in 2026?

Systeme.io has a free plan for up to 2,000 contacts. Paid plans cost $17/mo for Startup, $47/mo for Webinar and $97/mo for Unlimited on monthly billing, or $170, $470 and $970 a year on annual billing. A custom Teams plan is priced by Systeme.io directly.

Is the Systeme.io free plan really free forever?

Yes. The free plan never expires and needs no credit card. It includes up to 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, unlimited emails and 0% transaction fees, but only 1 tag, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign.

Does Systeme.io take a cut of sales?

No. Every plan, including Free, lists 0% transaction fees, and payments run through Stripe or PayPal at no extra Systeme.io cost. The payment processor still charges its own fees on each sale.

What happens if I cancel a paid Systeme.io plan?

Your plan stays active until the next billing date, then the account reverts to the free plan. To downgrade to a smaller paid plan instead, Systeme.io's pricing FAQ lists two routes, including contacting support.

Is Systeme.io cheaper than ClickFunnels?

Yes on list price. On monthly billing, Systeme.io's Startup plan costs less than a fifth of ClickFunnels Launch, and at 10,000 contacts Systeme.io Webinar costs about half of it. ClickFunnels' higher tiers add live chat support and a code editor that Systeme.io does not list.

Is annual billing worth it on Systeme.io?

If you will stay on the same plan for a year, yes: annual billing gives two months free, saving $34 on Startup, $94 on Webinar and $194 on Unlimited. If your list may pass the plan's contact cap within the year, stay monthly until it settles.
