Smartlead Pricing 2026: Base, Pro and Unlimited Plans

Smartlead pricing in 2026: Base, Pro, Unlimited Smart and Unlimited Prime on monthly and yearly billing, every paid add-on, and what four outbound buyers pay.

Smartlead Pricing 2026: Base, Pro and Unlimited Plans

Smartlead costs $39/mo for Base on monthly billing, or $32/mo billed yearly. Pro is $94/mo ($78 yearly), Unlimited Smart $174/mo ($144 yearly) and Unlimited Prime $379/mo ($315 yearly). Every plan connects unlimited mailboxes at no extra fee, and a 14-day free trial needs no credit card.

Our read: the plan price is the honest part of the bill, and the add-ons are where it grows. Base and Pro charge extra for verified prospect emails, agencies pay per client workspace, and dedicated servers, placement tests and bought mailboxes all sit outside the plan. The surprise is at the top: once a team needs leads or client workspaces, the two Unlimited plans cost about the same as a smaller plan with extras bolted on.

Every price on this page was checked as of 19 October 2026 on Smartlead's pricing page, with trial, refund and plan-gate details from the Smartlead FAQ the same day.

Toolradar data: Smartlead's $32 yearly entry plan ranks #39 of 54 on price among the email marketing tools with a verified entry price on Toolradar's Smartlead profile, where the peer median is $19/mo (October 2026). Smartlead is not a budget tool by that measure; it is priced for senders who need volume. MarketingShot is published by Dupple, whose own newsletters are sent on beehiiv, a newsletter platform that is not a cold email tool and is not compared here.

How much does each Smartlead plan cost?

Smartlead sells four self-serve plans priced by sending volume, not by seat or mailbox. The pricing page has a Monthly and a Yearly toggle, so the table keeps both billing modes in their own columns.

Plan Billed monthly Billed yearly (per month) Contacts stored Emails sent a month Verified prospect emails a month
Base $39/mo $32/mo 2,000 6,000 2,000 with the $59/mo add-on
Pro $94/mo $78/mo 30,000 90,000 30,000 with the $59/mo add-on
Unlimited Smart $174/mo $144/mo Unlimited 150,000 50,000 included
Unlimited Prime $379/mo $315/mo Unlimited 500,000 170,000 included

Smartlead also lists a custom Enterprise tier for volumes above Prime, and a separate done-for-you service called SmartServices (50,000 or 100,000 emails a month) that is sold through a strategy call with no public price.

The trial and refund terms are generous for this category. The FAQ gives every new account a 14-day trial without a card, new subscriptions can ask for a refund within 7 days of purchase, and an upgrade in the middle of a cycle is charged only the difference. The pricing page also advertised 50% off the first month on any plan in October 2026, a promotion that can end without notice, so a buyer still deciding should check whether it runs before starting the trial.

What does the yearly toggle save?

Yearly billing cuts every plan by about 17%, which Smartlead prints as "17% OFF" on the toggle. In dollars, the yearly rate saves $7 a month on Base, $16 on Pro, $30 on Unlimited Smart and $64 on Unlimited Prime, worked out from the two prices the page shows for each plan.

Those yearly rates moved recently. Toolradar's price tracker logged a change on 14 October 2026: Base, Pro and Smart now show the round yearly rates in the table above, where Base was $32.50 and Pro $78.30 before. That is a cut of cents, not a repricing, but it means older articles quoting the half-dollar figures are out of date.

The trade-off is the usual one. Monthly billing has no lock-in and can be cancelled at any time, so a team still testing whether cold email works for its offer gives up that $7 to $64 a month for the right to walk away. Yearly makes sense once the sending volume is predictable.

What does each plan include beyond volume?

Base is a sending plan with nothing else attached. It has no CRM, no API or webhooks, and no client workspaces, and its warmup runs on the Foundation tier of Smartlead's warmup pool. A founder who wants replies pushed into HubSpot through a webhook cannot do it on Base.

Pro is the first plan built for a team. It adds the built-in CRM, the API and webhooks, the Growth warmup tier, and the option to buy client workspaces and dedicated servers. Its weak spot is storage: 30,000 contacts against 90,000 sends a month leaves room for three touches per stored lead, and a team that keeps old prospects for later campaigns will hit the contact ceiling first.

Unlimited Smart is the plan Smartlead marks "most popular". It removes the contact cap, moves warmup to the Premium pool (eligible for Ultrapremium), adds call access with a customer success manager and your own email network over private OAuth, and bundles a monthly allowance of verified prospect emails from SmartProspect, Smartlead's lead finder. That bundled allowance is what changes the arithmetic, as the next sections show.

Unlimited Prime is the agency plan. It is the only tier with a dedicated manager, a private Slack channel and private infrastructure included (3 SmartServers), and it comes with 3 client workspaces, which is why it only makes sense for a shop serving several clients at once.

Two counters matter on every plan, and the FAQ separates them. A lead credit is one unique address stored in the account and counts against contacts; an email credit is one email sent and counts against the monthly send limit. On Base, the send allowance is three times the contact allowance, so each stored lead can get a three-step sequence before the month runs out.

Which Smartlead add-ons cost extra?

Mailboxes are free to connect, but nearly everything around them is sold separately. These are the add-ons listed on the pricing page, with the plans that can buy them.

Add-on Price Who can buy it
Verified prospect emails (SmartProspect) $59/mo Base and Pro; included on Unlimited Smart and Prime
Client workspace with white-label $29/mo per workspace Pro and Unlimited Smart; Prime includes 3
SmartServers (dedicated IP server) $39/mo per server Pro and Unlimited Smart; Prime includes 3
SmartDelivery placement testing Growth $49/mo, Pro $174/mo, Expert $599/mo Any plan
SmartSenders fresh Google or Outlook mailbox $4.50/mo per mailbox, plus $13 a year per domain Any plan
SmartSenders pre-warmed mailbox $9/mo per mailbox, plus $18 a year per domain Any plan
SmartDialer calling credits From $9/mo Any plan
Email verification credits Packs from 6,000 to 960,000 credits, one-time or monthly Any plan

SmartDelivery tiers differ by test volume. Growth runs 120 campaign sequence tests with up to 50 sender accounts per test, while Pro and Expert run unlimited tests with up to 200 and 500 sender accounts and add placement-optimised copy, copy warmup, API access and white-label access.

Verification credits are priced on a slider. At the bottom it shows 6,000 credits for $16.50 one-time or $15 on a monthly plan; at the top, 960,000 credits cost $2,030.60 one-time or $1,846 a month. Cheaper SMTP mailboxes exist too, from $3.99 a month through Mailreef with a $19 yearly domain.

One gotcha sits outside the pricing page. Smartlead's fair use policy applies to "unlimited" plans and lets Smartlead cap usage it deems abusive, naming mailbox thresholds of 100, 300 and 800 under plan names that predate the current lineup. "Unlimited email accounts" means unlimited within that policy.

Is Unlimited Smart cheaper than Pro plus add-ons?

For any team that wants Smartlead to supply leads, yes in practice. On monthly billing, Pro plus the verified emails add-on comes to $153 a month. Unlimited Smart costs $21 more and returns a lot for it: no contact ceiling, 60,000 more sends, 20,000 more verified emails, the Premium warmup pool and CSM call access.

The same pattern shows up at the top for agencies. Unlimited Smart with 3 client workspaces ($87) and 3 SmartServers ($117) totals $378 a month on monthly billing, one dollar under Unlimited Prime. Prime includes the same workspaces and servers, plus 350,000 more sends, 120,000 more verified emails, a dedicated manager and a private Slack channel.

Build Monthly bill What you get
Pro + verified emails $153 30,000 contacts, 90,000 sends, 30,000 verified emails
Unlimited Smart + 3 workspaces + 3 servers $378 The above, plus agency infrastructure
Unlimited Prime $379 Unlimited contacts, 500,000 sends, 170,000 verified emails, 3 workspaces, 3 servers

The comparison uses monthly prices only, because the pricing page shows the add-ons as monthly charges and does not print a yearly rate for them.

What three typical buyers pay

These scenarios use monthly billing, add only prices Smartlead prints, and pick the cheapest setup that covers each buyer's needs. A founder who owns a clean list and stays under 6,000 emails needs nothing beyond Base, so the table starts one step up.

Buyer What they need Setup Monthly bill
Founder who needs leads 1 sender, Base volumes, plus verified prospect emails Base + verified emails $98
SDR team 60,000 sends, CRM sync, API, own data Pro $94
Agency with 3 clients 150,000 sends, client workspaces, leads Unlimited Smart + 3 workspaces $261

The founder who needs leads pays two and a half times the sticker. At $98 a month, the add-on turns a cheap sending tool into a sending tool with a prospect database, so compare that figure, not the Base sticker, with tools that bundle lead data.

The SDR team row assumes the team brings its own leads. If it wants SmartProspect data, the cheaper move is often Unlimited Smart rather than Pro plus the add-on, for the reasons in the section above. Mailboxes bought through SmartSenders add $4.50 to $9 a month each on top of every row.

How does Smartlead pricing compare with Instantly and lemlist?

Smartlead is the cheapest entry of the three, and the most expensive at mid volume. Prices for the rivals were read on 19 October 2026 on Instantly's pricing page and lemlist's pricing page; each cell compares the same billing mode.

Need Smartlead Instantly lemlist
Entry plan, monthly Base $39: 2,000 contacts, 6,000 emails Growth $47: 1,000 contacts, 5,000 emails Email $69: 50,000 emails, unlimited users
Entry plan, yearly (per month) $32 $37.60 $55
Mid volume, monthly Unlimited Smart $174: 150,000 emails, unlimited contacts Hypergrowth $97: 125,000 emails, 25,000 contacts Multichannel $109 per user: unlimited emails and messages
Mid volume, yearly (per month) $144 $77.60 $87 per user
500,000 emails, monthly Unlimited Prime $379 Light Speed $358 Multichannel per user, or a custom Enterprise plan

The mid-volume row is where Smartlead loses on sticker price. A team sending about 120,000 emails a month pays $77 more on Unlimited Smart than on Instantly Hypergrowth. The gap narrows once lead data enters: Instantly sells leads as a second credit subscription, while Unlimited Smart already bundles verified prospect emails, so a team that needs both should price Instantly's two bills together before deciding.

lemlist plays a different game. Its Email plan is the priciest entry, but it includes unlimited users, which suits a team that wants many people in one account more than raw volume. Yearly discounts differ too: 17% on Smartlead, 20% on Instantly's outreach plans and on lemlist.

The head-to-heads go deeper: Instantly vs Smartlead weighs the two volume leaders, Instantly pricing breaks down its two-bill structure, and lemlist pricing covers per-user billing. Profiles for Instantly and lemlist sit on Toolradar.

Which Smartlead plan should you buy?

Buy Base only if you bring your own list and need nothing beyond sending. It is the cheapest way into unlimited mailboxes and warmup among the three tools compared above, but the missing CRM and API make it a dead end for a team.

Buy Pro when a second system needs the data. CRM sync through webhooks, the API and client workspaces all start at Pro, and a team that sources leads elsewhere gets 90,000 sends for $94.

Skip Pro plus the verified emails add-on. At $21 more a month, Unlimited Smart does the same job with no contact ceiling and more of everything, so it is the default for any team that wants Smartlead's lead data.

Pick Unlimited Prime once an agency would otherwise buy 3 workspaces and 3 servers on top of Smart, since Prime costs one dollar more and adds volume and a dedicated manager.

For a wider shortlist, our best cold email software ranking puts Smartlead next to its rivals, the email verification tools roundup prices list cleaning outside Smartlead, and the email deliverability tools list covers warmup and placement testing. Teams leaving a data-first platform can start with cheaper Apollo alternatives, and the Instantly review and lemlist review cover the closest competitors.

How we checked these prices

Plan prices on both billing modes, plan limits, feature gates and add-on prices were read on 19 October 2026 on Smartlead's pricing page. Trial length, refund window, upgrade billing, CRM access and workspace rules come from the Smartlead FAQ, and the mailbox thresholds from the fair use policy, read the same day.

Competitor prices come from Instantly's pricing page and lemlist's pricing page on the same date, and the price history from Toolradar's tracker. Scenario totals and savings are arithmetic on published prices, not quotes. We did not run campaigns in any of these products. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, edited this page; the editorial policy and how we rate explain what a pricing page will and will not claim.

Client workspaces with white-label cost $29/mo each on Pro and Unlimited Smart, so Smart with 3 clients runs $261 a month on monthly billing. Unlimited Prime includes 3 workspaces and 3 SmartServers for one dollar more than Smart with those six add-ons bought separately.
