Kajabi Pricing 2026: Basic, Growth and Pro Costs

Kajabi pricing in 2026: Basic $179/mo, Growth $249/mo and Pro $499/mo billed monthly, or $143, $199 and $399 a month billed yearly, plus card and gateway fees.

Kajabi Pricing 2026: Basic, Growth and Pro Costs

Kajabi costs $179/mo on Basic, $249/mo on Growth and $499/mo on Pro when billed monthly. Annual billing drops those to $143, $199 and $399 a month, charged up front as $1,716, $2,388 and $4,788 a year. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and Kajabi takes no revenue share, though card fees and a third-party gateway fee still apply.

That makes Kajabi the most expensive entry ticket among the mainstream course platforms, and the price is the point of the debate. Kajabi sells the email tool, website, community, checkout and course host as one bill, so the fair comparison is against a stack, not against a single course app.

Prices were read on 19 October 2026 on Kajabi's pricing page, the annual totals on Kajabi's own annual Basic signup page and its Growth and Pro equivalents, and card fees on Kajabi's help article on Kajabi Payments fees in the United States. Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, evaluated 74 online course platforms for its October 2026 course platform ranking, and 5 of its 10 top picks have a free plan. Kajabi is not one of them, so a buyer pays from the first day after the trial.

Kajabi plans at a glance

Plan prices and limits as of October 2026, verified on Kajabi's pricing page:

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Contacts Products Admin users Best for
Basic $179/mo $143/mo ($1,716/yr) 2,500 5 2 A creator with a first paid offer and a small list
Growth $249/mo $199/mo ($2,388/yr) 25,000 50 11 A business with steady sales that needs automations and affiliates
Pro $499/mo $399/mo ($4,788/yr) 100,000 Unlimited 26 Several brands, a branded app or API work

All three plans include unlimited marketing emails, landing pages, funnels and access groups, a custom domain, checkout pages and the Kajabi customer app. Basic and Growth get one website and one community; Pro gets three of each. Kajabi prices by plan limits, not by seat or by email volume, so the two numbers that push you up a tier are contacts and products.

How much does Kajabi cost per year?

Annual billing saves $432 a year on Basic, $600 on Growth and $1,200 on Pro, the savings Kajabi prints on its plan cards. The catch is cash flow: annual means paying the full year at signup, after the trial.

Plan 12 months billed monthly Billed annually (Kajabi's total) Saving
Basic $2,148 $1,716 $432
Growth $2,988 $2,388 $600
Pro $5,988 $4,788 $1,200

The monthly column is twelve times Kajabi's monthly price; the annual column is the total Kajabi's own checkout shows. Taxes come on top in both cases, per the signup page.

For a first launch, monthly billing is the safer bet even at a 25% premium on Basic. Kajabi's FAQ says you can move from monthly to annual at any time, so a creator can wait until the offer sells before locking in a year.

What each plan adds

Basic is a working storefront with tight caps. It suits a creator testing one or two offers, and it covers 5 products, 2,500 contacts and 2 admin users, plus third-party integrations, AI features, the universal inbox and video transcriptions. It does not include advanced automations, webhooks, comment-to-DM, affiliate programs, cohort courses or removal of Kajabi branding, and it gets no monthly AI credits.

Growth is the plan most paying businesses land on. It lifts the caps to 50 products and 25,000 contacts, adds 11 admin users and unlocks the features a marketer uses to scale: advanced automations, webhooks, an affiliate program, comment-to-DM, cohort courses and branding removal. It also comes with 500 AI credits a month.

Pro is priced for multi-brand operators. It removes the product cap, raises contacts to 100,000, gives 3 websites and 3 communities, and is the only plan with the custom code editor. Two items Kajabi lists with a dollar value come with it: a branded mobile app (listed as a $199/mo value) and API access (a $25/mo value). Pro also gets 1,000 AI credits a month.

For a marketer, the decisive line is the automation row. A Basic account can send unlimited broadcasts but cannot build the advanced automations behind a launch sequence or a behavior-based upsell, so the real entry price for a funnel-driven business is the Growth plan.

AI credits beyond the allowance cost $15/mo for 500, per the comparison chart, with one-time top-ups listed as coming later.

Fees on every sale

Kajabi takes no platform cut, but every sale pays a processing fee that falls as the plan rises. Through Kajabi Payments, US businesses pay 2.9% + $0.30 per card sale on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro.

Bring your own processor and Kajabi adds its own fee on top of that processor's charges: 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. Kajabi's chart says that fee excludes PayPal and Kajabi Payments, so it hits Stripe-style gateways connected outside Kajabi Payments.

The US fee article lists the extras that change the per-sale cost:

  • Subscriptions and payment plans: an extra 0.7% on every recurring charge, the first one included.
  • International cards: an extra 1.5% when the buyer's card was issued outside the US.
  • Disputes: $15 per chargeback, taken from your Kajabi Payments balance.
  • Kajabi Sales Tax: $0.15 per transaction on offers that use it.
  • Currency conversion: 1%, built into the exchange rate when an offer is priced in a currency your bank does not settle in.

The membership math is the one to run. A $49 monthly membership on Basic pays 2.9% plus 0.7%, or 3.6%, plus the 30 cents: $2.06 on each renewal. That is 4.2% of the price before any international or dispute fee.

Our cost scenarios

Our cost table: what a US creator pays in a month on each plan with monthly billing, using Kajabi's published plan prices and card rates. The scenario is 50 one-time sales of a $100 course ($5,000 of revenue) through Kajabi Payments, all on US cards.

Plan Card fees on 50 sales Plan plus card fees Share of revenue
Basic $160 $339 6.8%
Growth $155 $404 8.1%
Pro $150 $649 13.0%

The card-rate discount between plans is small: $5 a month per tier at this volume. Growth earns its higher price through automations and caps, not through cheaper fees, and Pro does not pay for itself on fees until revenue is far higher.

Switch the same $5,000 to a third-party gateway and Kajabi's own fee adds $100 a month on Basic, $50 on Growth and $25 on Pro, before the gateway's charges. For a creator on Basic with an existing Stripe setup, that is more than half the plan price again.

The contact cap and the add-on

Basic's 2,500-contact cap is the limit most creators hit first. Kajabi's FAQ says that when you reach a limit you can add capacity or move up a plan, and that contacts come in blocks of 25,000 for $125 a month, at any size.

On Basic, that block is the wrong buy. A Basic account at 3,000 contacts would pay its plan price plus $125, or $304 a month, while Growth's far higher cap costs $55 less and adds automations. The block makes sense on Growth instead: 30,000 contacts cost $374 a month there, still well under Pro.

Clean the list before you cross a cap. Cold contacts you will never sell to count against the limit the same as buyers, and on Basic one list import can force a $70 monthly step up.

Trial, refunds and plan changes

The 14-day trial asks for a card at signup: Kajabi's checkout shows $0 due today and charges the chosen plan when the trial ends unless you cancel. When the trial ends you move onto the plan you picked, and Kajabi's FAQ says you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.

Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, per the FAQ and the signup page. That is a longer safety window than the trial alone, which matters for an annual plan bought on day 15.

Kajabi vs cheaper course platforms

Kajabi's entry plan costs roughly three to ten times the entry plans of its rivals, so the question is what the gap buys. Prices below were read on each vendor's pricing page on 19 October 2026, on monthly billing where the vendor shows it.

Platform Entry plan Platform fee on sales Next plan up
Kajabi Basic, $179/mo 0% Growth, $70/mo more
Teachable Starter, $39/mo 7.5% Builder, $89/mo, 0% fee
Thinkific Basic, $54/mo 0% on Thinkific Payments Start, $109/mo
Systeme.io Free; Startup $17/mo 0% on all plans Webinar, $47/mo
Podia Mover, $42/mo billed yearly ($504/yr) 5% Shaker, $84/mo billed yearly ($1,008/yr), no fee

Sources: Teachable pricing, Thinkific pricing, Systeme.io pricing (plan prices from its pricing FAQ) and Podia pricing, which shows annual billing by default. Podia is the one row on annual billing, so set it against Kajabi Basic's annual rate, not the monthly one.

Teachable's fee changes the math quickly. At $5,000 of monthly sales, Starter's 7.5% costs $375, which makes Teachable Builder at $89 the cheaper Teachable plan; it still leaves you without Kajabi's email and community tools in the same bill.

Systeme.io is the cost floor: its pricing FAQ lists 5,000 contacts on the $17 Startup plan, double Kajabi Basic's cap at about a tenth of the price. The trade is a plainer course and community experience. Our Systeme.io review covers what that buys, and the Kajabi review covers what Kajabi does better.

Thinkific is the middle path for a course-first business. Its Basic plan includes unlimited courses and one community, but branding removal waits until its $219 Grow plan.

Is Kajabi worth the price in 2026?

Kajabi is worth it for a creator already earning, and expensive for a first course. Kajabi's own FAQ says Basic fits someone who has not sold anything yet and Growth fits once revenue arrives, but a marketer will feel Basic's missing automations within one launch.

The honest case for Kajabi is consolidation. If you would otherwise pay for an email platform, a funnel builder, a course host and a community app, one bill with no revenue share can beat the stack; our webinar software pricing comparison and Kit pricing breakdown show what the separate pieces run.

The case against is fixed cost at low revenue. At $1,000 a month in sales, Basic's plan price alone is 18% of revenue; on Systeme.io Startup it would be under 2%. How we checked these prices

We read Kajabi's pricing page, its comparison chart and FAQ, and its annual and monthly signup pages on 19 October 2026, and took card and extra fees from Kajabi's US fee article on the same day. The cost tables apply those published rates to fixed scenarios; no promotion or negotiated rate enters them. Rival prices come from each vendor's own pricing page on the same date, and the Toolradar figure from its live course platform ranking. We did not run a Kajabi account for this page.
