lemlist vs Instantly (2026): Multichannel or Volume Cold Email?
lemlist vs Instantly in 2026: Instantly Growth is $37.6/mo billed yearly for 5,000 emails, lemlist Email $55/mo for 50,000 with unlimited users. Plans compared.

Pick Instantly if you only send email and want the cheapest entry: Growth is $37.6 a month billed yearly for 5,000 emails and unlimited inboxes. Pick lemlist if your sequences also touch LinkedIn, calls or SMS: its Multichannel plan is $87 per user a month billed yearly. Prices read on both vendors' pricing pages on October 19, 2026.
The surprise sits in the middle. Once a team sends more than 5,000 emails a month, lemlist's email-only plan, which covers 50,000 emails and unlimited users, becomes the cheaper of the two.
Toolradar data: Toolradar tracks 151 sales engagement tools as of October 19, 2026, 35% of them with a free tier, and the median entry paid plan in the category is $35.50 a month. Instantly's yearly Growth price sits just above that median; lemlist's cheapest plan sits well above it, which is the price of its bundled lead database and multichannel options.
The plans side by side

Prices come from lemlist pricing and Instantly pricing, read on October 19, 2026. lemlist also bills quarterly at 10% off and yearly at 20% off.
The two price on different units, and that drives everything below. Instantly charges by volume, emails sent and contacts uploaded, with unlimited inboxes on every plan. lemlist's Email plan charges by volume with unlimited users, while Multichannel charges per user.
What a 3-person outbound team pays
The scenario is a team of three sending reps, billed yearly. Each line uses only the vendors' printed prices.
| Team need | Instantly | lemlist |
|---|---|---|
| Email only, up to 5,000 emails and 1,000 contacts | Growth: $37.6 a month | Email: $55 a month |
| Email only, 5,000 to 50,000 emails | Hypergrowth: $77.6 a month | Email: same plan, no change |
| Email plus LinkedIn and calls for all three reps | No plan with those channels | Multichannel: 3 x $87 = $261 a month |
Instantly wins only the smallest row. Above 5,000 emails, its next plan costs $22.6 a month more than lemlist Email, and lemlist includes its lead database in that price. Above 50,000 emails, Instantly Hypergrowth is the one that scales without a plan change: it covers 125,000 emails, while lemlist's Email card is priced at the 50,000 level.
The multichannel row is not a like-for-like comparison. Instantly's outreach plans list email features only, so a team that wants LinkedIn steps would need a second tool next to it. That second subscription belongs in the Instantly column before you call it cheaper.
Where the caps bite
Instantly's Growth plan caps uploaded contacts at 1,000, which is tighter than its 5,000-email allowance suggests. A five-step sequence to 1,000 prospects uses the whole send allowance in one campaign, and a new list means replacing the old one. Teams that rotate lists often hit the contact cap before the email cap.
lemlist Email caps volume at 50,000 emails a month at its listed price, with no cap on users or senders. For most small teams that ceiling sits far above what three reps can send safely, so the cap rarely bites before deliverability does.
Multichannel removes the email cap entirely but limits each user to 5 senders. A rep running more inboxes than that for deliverability needs Enterprise, which lemlist lists from 5 senders per user upward.
Deliverability and warmup
Both vendors include warmup in every plan, which matters because warmup tools are often sold separately. Instantly lists unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup on each outreach plan, and its pricing FAQ says you can connect and warm as many accounts as you need from any provider. That suits the volume playbook: many inboxes, low sends per inbox.
lemlist includes lemwarm and its deliverability protections on all plans, alongside a deliverability hub on the Email plan. The difference is in the inbox model. lemlist's Email plan allows unlimited senders, but Multichannel caps them at 5 per user, so a heavy multi-inbox setup fits the Email plan or Instantly better than lemlist Multichannel.
Neither warmup feature replaces list hygiene. A bounce-heavy list damages sender reputation on any tool, and the email verification tools guide covers that step. For the wider inbox-placement field, see email deliverability tools.
Lead data: included or extra
lemlist's Email plan includes an email and phone finder and a database of 650M+ leads. Finding contact details uses credits; the enrichment add-on is $16 a month billed yearly ($20 monthly) for 2,000 credits, which lemlist says covers 400 emails or 100 phone numbers. Unused credits roll over while the subscription stays active, and lemlist charges only for successful results.
Instantly sells lead data as a separate product. Its Growth Credits plan is $47 a month for 1,500 credits and access to a database of 450M+ B2B leads. Instantly's pricing page also bundles outreach and credits together, starting with a Starter bundle at $94 a month.
For a team that already buys leads from another source, neither add-on is required. For a team starting from zero, lemlist's included finder plus a small credit pack is the lower entry point.
Multichannel is lemlist's real case
lemlist Multichannel adds LinkedIn prospecting, SMS campaigns, in-app calling over native VoIP and WhatsApp prospecting, on top of the Email plan's features. That is the reason to pay per user: one sequence can mix an email, a LinkedIn connection request and a call task.
The cost scales with headcount. Because every seat is billed, a 10-person SDR team on the yearly Multichannel plan pays more each month than Instantly's Light Speed plan, which sends 500,000 emails. If your reps rarely touch LinkedIn, that money buys nothing.
lemlist's 14-day free trial includes Multichannel features except in-app calls, plus 200 free credits, so the channel question can be settled before you pay.
Our own stack
Dupple's newsletters, MarketingShot included, are sent on beehiiv, a newsletter platform rather than a cold email tool. Neither lemlist nor Instantly is part of our stack, so this comparison rests on the two pricing pages, not on our own sending.
Who should pick which
Pick Instantly Growth if you send under 5,000 cold emails a month to small lists, want unlimited inboxes, and plan to buy leads elsewhere. It is the cheapest paid entry on either site.
Pick lemlist Email if you have outgrown Instantly Growth's send allowance but stay under lemlist's cap, have several reps, or want a lead finder in the base price. Unlimited users make it the better team plan for email-only outbound.
Pick lemlist Multichannel if your sequences need LinkedIn, calls or SMS, and budget per rep. Pick Instantly Hypergrowth or Light Speed if volume is the strategy and you run many inboxes per sender.
For deeper single-tool coverage, read the lemlist review and the Instantly review. The cold email software ranking covers the wider field, including the Smartlead review for another volume option, and Instantly vs Smartlead compares the two volume senders head to head. Teams pricing a data tool alongside should see cheaper Apollo alternatives, and those automating the follow-up see marketing automation software. Both vendors also have Toolradar profiles: lemlist and Instantly.
