Agorapulse Review 2026

What each Agorapulse seat costs on annual and monthly billing, where the 10-profile limit and the feature gates bite, and how it prices against four alternatives.

TL;DR

Short answer: Agorapulse Standard costs $79 per user per month billed annually, or $99 billed monthly, with 10 social profiles on that seat. The Professional seat at $119 per user per month on annual billing adds assignments, one-step approvals, live chat support and ad comment moderation. Custom has no list price, and the trial needs no credit card.

Agorapulse earns that price when a team answers comments, direct messages and reviews every day and needs to split the queue. A team that only schedules posts pays for an inbox it will not use, and should compare Buffer or Vista Social first.

Agorapulse sells a per-user social inbox with publishing attached.

The buying question is which seat gives the inbox controls a team actually uses, and that depends on how many profiles and teammates the brand runs, so the tier table matters more than the headline price.

MarketingShot data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, evaluated 148 social media management tools for its October 2026 social media management ranking.

Agorapulse is listed as an alternative to 57 other tools in that directory, third behind Hootsuite and Sprout Social, which are each listed as an alternative to 63.

Every price below was read on the vendor's own pricing page, checked on October 10, 2026.

This review prices each self-serve seat against the closest competitors and checks which feature gates decide the seat a team can really use.

Methodology: the Agorapulse pricing page and four alternative pricing pages were read on October 10, 2026.

Each tier was compared on seat price, profile limit, feature availability in the vendor's comparison table, data retention and first response time. The wider field sits in our social media management tools roundup.

What is Agorapulse?

Agorapulse is a social media management platform that combines publishing, a unified social inbox, reporting and a link in bio tool, billed per user.

Its clearest point of difference is the inbox: comments, direct messages and Google reviews from every connected network land in one queue, with assignments, saved replies and moderation rules layered on top.

The AI Writing Assistant, the AI alt text generator and a ChatGPT or Claude connection through a self-hosted MCP come on every tier.

The three self-serve tiers stack in a line: Standard covers scheduling and the basic inbox, Professional adds team assignments, link in bio and ad comment moderation, and Advanced adds bulk scheduling, publishing queues and saved replies.

A Custom tier, quoted on request, adds unlimited profiles, multi-step approvals and single sign-on. Listening, advocacy and competitive benchmarking are separate add-ons, each on a demo request with no list price. The product record sits on Toolradar.

How Agorapulse works

Every self-serve tier caps a team at 10 social profiles. The vendor's FAQ separates the two meters: a user is a teammate with a seat, and a profile is a connected social account.

An eleventh profile on Standard, Professional or Advanced means either a Custom quote or an extra profile at $10 a month on annual billing, or $15 on monthly billing. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business all count toward the limit, while ad accounts and Google Analytics do not.

The inbox itself is on every tier, but the controls around it are staged.

Standard has the all-in-one inbox, comment moderation and one automated moderation rule per profile with a single trigger condition. Professional adds assignments, reply collision detection, custom inbox views and ad comment moderation.

Advanced adds saved replies, filter presets, bulk inbox management, inbox labels and sentiment shown as display only. Only Custom allows unlimited moderation rules with AND or OR conditions, and only Custom can filter by sentiment.

Publishing is unlimited on every tier.

Standard and Professional cap the content library at 10 images and 2 videos, and the first comment, calendar notes and Instagram product tagging wait for Professional. Bulk scheduling from a CSV file of up to 200 posts, publishing queues and bulk approval arrive on Advanced.

Reporting follows the same staircase: basic audience and top content reports on Standard, team performance reports on Professional, and cross-network, ads and PowerPoint exports on Advanced. Historical data import and the open API are Custom only.

Agorapulse key features

Ten profiles on every self-serve seatEssential
Standard, Professional and Advanced each allow 10 social profiles, and only Custom removes the cap. An extra profile is billed on top of the seat, so a brand past 10 accounts pays a little more instead of jumping a tier.
Inbox controls are staged across tiersEssential
Assignments and reply collision detection arrive on Professional, saved replies and bulk inbox tools on Advanced, and sentiment filtering only on Custom. A Standard team gets the shared inbox but not the assignments it needs to split the queue.
Approvals: one step on Professional, multi-step on Custom
Simple approval workflows that route a post for one-step approval sit on Professional. Multi-step approval chains are quote-only on Custom, so a brand that needs two sign-offs cannot price that path from the public page.
Data retention and history scale with the tier
Standard keeps post and inbox data for 6 months, Professional for 12, and Advanced and Custom for 24. Historical data import is a Custom feature, so a team that needs older history has to ask for a quote.
Trial without a card
The 30-day trial needs no credit card. Agorapulse's FAQ adds that a team can keep using a free plan after the trial, but the pricing page prints no limits for that plan, so the free tier cannot be planned around yet.

Agorapulse pricing

Agorapulse's pricing page, checked on October 10, 2026, lists three self-serve seats billed per user. Standard is $79 per user per month billed annually, or $99 billed monthly. Professional is $119 on annual billing or $149 monthly, and Advanced is $149 annual or $199 monthly.

The same pricing page labels the yearly saving at $240, $360 and $600 a year per user on those three tiers. Custom has no list price and requires a demo.

The seat math decides the invoice. Three users on Standard pay $2,844 a year on annual billing (three users, 12 months, at the annual rate).

The same three people on Professional pay $4,284 (3 x $119 x 12). A 12-profile brand on Standard adds two extra profiles at $10 each per month, or $20 a month, on top of the seat cost.

Against the alternatives, the entry prices sit close together.

Sprout Social's pricing page lists an entry Essentials seat with Trellis, its AI teammate, included, at a per-seat annual rate that matches Agorapulse Standard. Hootsuite's plans page lists Standard for up to 10 accounts, billed per user annually.

Buffer's pricing page bills Essentials per channel at $5 a month, and its free plan covers three channels. Vista Social's pricing page lists Professional at $99 a month or $950 a year for 15 profiles and two users.

Who Agorapulse is for

Agorapulse fits a social or community team that answers public comments, reviews and direct messages as customer work, and that needs assignments, saved replies and moderation rules once the volume grows.

It also suits a brand with up to 10 profiles that prefers to pay per user rather than per profile tier.

Skip it when the job is scheduling alone.

A solo marketer with three channels pays nothing on Buffer's free plan, and a team that wants an AI teammate on the entry seat should read the Sprout Social review first. Teams that want a flat yearly allowance of profiles should compare the Vista Social review.

Buyers weighing per-user suites should read the Hootsuite review, and buyers who want a channel meter should read the Buffer review, while the social media management tools roundup covers the wider field.

A team that wants a free starting point can check the free social media schedulers guide. MarketingShot tracks the next social pricing change in the daily brief.

The bottom line

Buy Agorapulse Standard when a team of up to 10 profiles needs a shared inbox and scheduling at the lowest per-user price, and can live with six months of data retention and email support. Move to Professional when assignments, one-step approvals, live chat or ad comment moderation become daily work.

Advanced is worth its higher rate only when bulk scheduling, saved replies or sentiment display are needed, and Custom is the only tier that removes the profile cap.

Buy Buffer when a channel meter and a free plan beat a seat price, Hootsuite when a larger account count on its middle plan matters more, and Vista Social when a flat yearly allowance of profiles beats per-user billing.

Sprout Social is the closer alternative for a team that wants an AI teammate on the entry seat.

Frequently asked questions

Is Agorapulse worth it in 2026?

It is worth it for a team that answers public comments, direct messages and reviews every day and needs assignments and moderation rules. Standard covers the all-in-one inbox and scheduling, but one-step approvals, live chat and ad comment moderation need Professional. For scheduling alone, Buffer's free plan is the better start.

How much does Agorapulse cost?

Agorapulse bills per user, and the entry Standard seat is the lowest paid seat. Professional is $119 per user per month on annual billing, and Advanced costs more above that. Custom has no list price and requires a demo. Extra profiles cost $10 a month each on annual billing, or $15 monthly, and every self-serve tier caps at 10 profiles.

Is there a free Agorapulse plan?

Agorapulse's FAQ says a team can keep using a free plan after its 30-day trial, but its pricing page prints no limits for that plan. Otherwise the pricing page sells three paid seats and a Custom quote, with a trial that needs no credit card. Buffer is the option that publishes its free plan's channel and post limits on its pricing page.

How does Agorapulse compare with Sprout Social on price?

The two entry seats sit at the same annual price, for Agorapulse Standard and for Sprout's Essentials seat. Agorapulse Standard covers 10 profiles, while Sprout Essentials includes the Trellis AI teammate. Above that, Sprout's Standard seat costs more than Agorapulse's Professional, so the choice turns on whether a team needs Trellis or Agorapulse's inbox controls.

What is the cheapest alternative to Agorapulse?

For a small brand, Buffer's free plan costs nothing across three channels, with 10 scheduled posts per channel. Among paid options, Buffer's Essentials costs $5 per channel a month billed yearly, and Vista Social's Professional plan is $950 a year for 15 profiles and 2 users. For two users managing more than 10 profiles, Vista is the cheaper invoice, while Agorapulse's inbox controls justify its higher price for a team that uses them daily.
