Klaviyo Pricing 2026: Plans, Profiles and Cost

Klaviyo pricing in 2026: Email is $20/mo at 500 active profiles and $150/mo at 10,000. Free covers 250 profiles. One profile past a band moves the whole bill.

Klaviyo Pricing 2026: Plans, Profiles and Cost

Klaviyo's Email plan costs $20/mo at 500 active profiles in 2026, with 5,000 sends included, and $150/mo at 10,000 profiles, with 100,000 sends. The free plan stops at 250 profiles and 500 emails a month. The bill follows the profile band, so one person past a step reprices the whole list.

Klaviyo is a B2C customer platform that meters email by active profiles, the people it can still message, and pairs each profile on the plan with 10 sends a month rather than by seat. A weekly newsletter to a clean list and a store that imports every checkout email can pay different bills at the same subscriber count, because checkout addresses that never opted in still count.

Those rates were read on 17 October 2026 on Klaviyo's pricing page. The rules for who counts, and what happens when the count is over the band, come from Klaviyo's billing help the same day. Whether the product is the right one for the work, separate from this invoice, is the Klaviyo review.

Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 108 email marketing tools as of 17 October 2026. Klaviyo is the most compared name in that set over the last 90 days, with 427 side-by-side comparisons, and it is listed as an alternative to 76 other tools. The ranking is best email marketing tools, the directory record is Klaviyo on Toolradar, and the wider counts are on the email marketing statistics page. Dupple sends MarketingShot and its other newsletters on beehiiv, which is a different product from the one priced here. MarketingShot data: this list has 35,000+ active subscribers as of October 18, 2026, with an open rate of 32%.

Every self-serve Email price above is the monthly rate on the pricing calculator. The year column is that monthly rate times 12, our arithmetic, not an annual contract Klaviyo sells, and the page shows no yearly price.

How much does Klaviyo cost at 500 profiles?

The 500-profile step is the first paid Email band, so anything from 251 profiles through 500 pays that same row. A list of 251 does not get a cheaper card than a list of 500, which means profiles you add inside a band do not raise the bill until you cross the next line.

Free, then the first paid step

The free plan holds up to 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month, plus a mobile-message credit and a Composer credit of $5 each, which is enough while a new store is still gathering its first subscribers. Email support lasts the first 60 days, and after that the account keeps the Help Center, Academy, and community. You can stay on free with no time limit while both caps hold. Cross either cap and sending stops until the count is back inside the cap or you take a paid plan, because Klaviyo does not move a free account up by itself.

The paid Email plan at 500 profiles is the row in the table. It removes the Klaviyo logo from emails and adds predictive analytics plus generative AI for segments, content, flows, and images. Real-time segments, web forms, templates, reports, and the 350-plus integrations are already on the free plan, so a newsletter that can live with the logo can skip this row. A store that wants prediction on purchase data is who pays it.

A limited-time offer takes $19 off the first month of that first paid Email plan only. The terms, updated 2 September 2026, run through 11:59pm ET on 30 November 2026, and the account has to buy on or before that date. The account also cannot have held a paid Klaviyo plan in the prior 12 months.

The credit applies by itself at checkout, cannot be stacked with another offer, and does not cover Composer, text, Customer Hub, or any other product. After that first month the plan renews at the list rate. A qualifying new account therefore pays $1 in month one and $221 across the first year, while an account that misses the window pays $240 for the same twelve months.

What 10 sends per profile means

Every paid band includes 10 emails for each profile on the plan. At 500 profiles that is 5,000 sends, and Klaviyo's billing help says those sends can be spread evenly or piled onto a smaller group. A weekly campaign to the whole band still fits inside the multiple.

A welcome series, a browse flow, and a post-purchase flow on top of that campaign can burn the allowance. The next step is a higher plan, because the card has no per-email overage to absorb a busy flow setup.

Received and bounced messages count toward the send cap, while skipped messages and double opt-in confirmations do not. A checkout address Klaviyo can still mail counts as a profile even when the person never opted in. MarketingShot covers invoices like this in a short weekday note at marketingshot.com.

What does a larger list cost?

The calculator is a staircase, not a price per profile that slides smoothly, and the steps that change a budget are in the table. A few of them are much steeper than the ones around them.

From 5,000 profiles to 10,000, the Email plan moves up one row. That is $50 more per month for 5,000 additional people, or $600 more across a year, so this stretch is the gentle part of the climb. At 10,500 profiles the plan is $175/mo, which is $2,100 a year, and five hundred profiles past 10,000 cost as much per month as the previous 5,000 profiles did. A list that finishes the month at 10,001 active profiles does not stay on the 10,000-profile row.

The staircase flattens again after 15,000, where the row is $350/mo, and the 25,000-profile row is $400/mo, so 10,000 more people add less per month than the 500 people who pushed a list off 10,000. Past 150,000 profiles the calculator stops printing a price and says to talk to sales. Enterprise plans are described on the same page as a package priced on active profiles, and they publish no list price, so a brand above that line cannot budget from the public page.

Twelve months at 10,000 profiles is $1,800 before Composer, text, or Customer Hub. Twelve months at 50,000 profiles is $8,640 on Email alone. The cost per profile falls as the band grows, and the invoice still rises at every step.

Which profiles count toward the bill?

An active profile is anyone Klaviyo can email, whatever the consent label. Klaviyo's billing help includes subscribers and people added by general engagement, such as an address left at checkout who never opted in. If the address can still receive marketing, it is on the bill, so keeping every checkout email is what pushes a store into the next band.

Suppressed, unsubscribed, and deleted profiles are not billable once suppression has finished processing. Klaviyo says that refresh can take up to 72 hours, and the plan picker will not let you choose a band smaller than the count it still sees. A person you suppress to save the band stays in the account for reporting, and a person you delete is gone, because deletion does not come back. Suppress when you may still need that history, and delete only when that person should leave the account.

The plan does not drop itself when the count drops. You pick the lower band on the billing page more than 24 hours before the cycle turns over, and inside that last day the lower band does not take effect. On the way up, a paid account that finishes the cycle over its band moves to a profile-compliant plan at the next cycle, and sends continue in the meantime. Cleaning the list the week of renewal misses the invoice you are about to get, so the saving shows up on the following bill.

What do Composer, text, and the other add-ons cost?

Email is the base, and the pricing page sells Composer, mobile messages, Customer Hub, social marketing, reviews, Personalization, the Advanced Data Platform, Helpdesk, and Customer Agent as separate lines. A quote that names only the Email row leaves those lines off the invoice.

Composer is $20/mo, and it is not inside the Email plan. That price is four times the free Composer allowance, and it covers scheduled checks, performance analysis, and drafting campaigns and flows from your own account data. Extra use, if you leave Flex on, bills at $10 per 1,000 credits, and unused credits do not roll into the next month. Turning Flex off pauses Composer until the next cycle, which stops the overage and the drafting together.

Text is a spend meter, not a contact band. The calculator lists US toll-free SMS at $0.01 per send, and Klaviyo's mobile-messaging help, updated 29 September 2025, says that rate is the all-in cost, with carrier fees inside it. You prepay the spend, and unused dollars do not carry over. Every account gets $5 of mobile-message spend a month.

Inbound texts and opt-in confirmations are not billable, while campaigns, flows, and failed deliveries are, so a failed send still costs money. An emoji drops the SMS limit from 160 characters to 70, so a short text can bill as two segments. Past about 95,000 SMS recipients a month, the pricing FAQ recommends a short code, billed apart from the message spend. Rates on other platforms are in the SMS marketing cost guide.

Customer Hub matches Composer's monthly price at 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, and 10,000 active profiles, then $30/mo at 15,000, and the card offers a 30-day trial. Moving that slider also moves the Email, Personalization, and social prices, because they share the profile count. You cannot hold Email on a lower band while Customer Hub sits higher. Social marketing's slider starts at 10,000 profiles, at $50/mo, and is $125/mo at 25,000, so a smaller list cannot buy that line.

Reviews bill orders rather than profiles: the 50-order row is $0, the 250-order row is $25/mo, and the 1,000-order row is $90/mo. A large list with few orders stays on the free reviews row, and a high-order shop pays this meter on a modest email band.

Personalization, on the Data and Analytics tab, is $100/mo at 500, 5,000, and 10,000 active profiles, and $105/mo at 15,000. That is a reporting and prediction add-on on top of the analytics already inside Email, so skip it when those included reports are enough. The Advanced Klaviyo Data Platform starts at $500/mo for 100,000 total profiles, and that meter includes profiles you are not marketing to, which makes it a different bill from Email.

Helpdesk starts at $10/mo for 50 tickets a month, with a 30-day trial, and Customer Agent starts at $50/mo for 75 AI resolutions a month, with 50 free resolutions on the card. The Service FAQ says there is no separate setup fee, and that larger implementations can add optional paid services.

At 10,000 profiles, a team that adds Composer and Customer Hub is paying the 10,000-profile row plus those two lines. Social is a fourth line at that same profile count. Personalization is a fifth, at the same monthly price as the 5,000-profile Email row, and none of those add-ons inherit the first-month credit.

How does that compare with Omnisend at 500 contacts?

At the 251 to 500 contact band, Omnisend's pricing page shows Standard at $11.20/mo, and that figure is a 30 percent discount. The page crosses out a three-month total of $48, and the rate after three months is $16/mo, with 500 contacts and 6,000 emails. Pro on the same selector shows a regular rate of $59/mo after the same three-month discount, and the card lists 2,500 contacts.

Omnisend says it bills subscribers and non-subscribers who received automated messages, and that unsubscribed contacts are not billed. Budget the regular rate, because the crossed-out total covers only the opening three months.

Klaviyo's 500-profile Email row is $4/mo above that $16 rate, with 5,000 sends against Standard's 6,000. Omnisend's free plan matches the 250-contact and 500-email caps, and Standard's send multiple at this band is 12 times the contact count rather than 10. Price that regular rate against the 500-profile row before you treat Klaviyo as the default. The product differences are on the Omnisend alternatives page.

Mailchimp's marketing pricing page, read the same day, shows a free plan under 250 contacts, with sends capped at 500 a month or 250 a day, one seat, and email support for the first 30 days. Essentials caps a flow at four steps and includes sends at 10 times the contact count, enough for a short welcome series and tight for a long program. Standard raises flows to 200 and sends to 12 times the contact count. Premium lists sends at 15 times the contact count.

Check the current price on Mailchimp's pricing page for those paid bands, and use the Mailchimp pricing breakdown for how that bill is structured. The head-to-head on features is Mailchimp vs Klaviyo, and the product page is the Mailchimp review.

If the work is a newsletter and a short automation, the 500-profile row is the Klaviyo number to beat. If the work is triggered flows on purchase data, the profile definition is the cost of that data. The wider shelf is the lifecycle marketing list and the email marketing software roundup. How we checked these prices

The Email bands, the free-plan caps, the included sends, the first-month offer, Composer at the price in the FAQ, Customer Hub, social marketing, reviews, Personalization, the Advanced Data Platform, Helpdesk, and Customer Agent come from Klaviyo's pricing page, read on 17 October 2026. The offer window and the "paid Email plan only" limit come from the promotion terms, updated 2 September 2026. Who counts as an active profile, the 10-send multiple, the 72-hour refresh, and the 24-hour downgrade rule come from Klaviyo's billing help. The SMS rate and the rule that carrier fees sit inside it come from Klaviyo's mobile-messaging help.

Year totals such as $240, $1,800, and $2,100 are the monthly rate times 12. The first-year figure of $221 is one discounted month plus eleven months at the list rate. Omnisend's $16 rate is the regular Standard price at the 251 to 500 band on Omnisend's pricing page, after the three-month discount printed next to it. Mailchimp's caps and send multiples come from Mailchimp's pricing page the same day.

The 108-tool count, the 427 comparisons, and the 76-tool alternative count come from Toolradar's email marketing ranking on 17 October 2026. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, wrote this page. Ranking method is on how we rate, corrections are on the editorial policy, and the author note is on about.

Our own newsletters run on beehiiv, covered in the beehiiv review and the beehiiv vs Kit comparison. Open the pricing page once more before anyone approves the card charge.

FAQ

How much does Klaviyo cost per month in 2026?

The free plan costs nothing up to 250 active profiles and 500 sends. The first paid Email band is the 500-profile row in the table, and the 10,000-profile row is the one a working store list usually hits. Both are monthly prices, and the page does not publish an annual discount. Composer, text, Customer Hub, and Personalization sit on top of whichever Email row you are on.

Does Klaviyo have a free plan?

Yes. It covers 250 active profiles, 500 emails a month, a mobile-message credit, and a Composer credit, with email support for the first 60 days. There is no countdown, and you stay on it while you remain inside both caps. Predictive analytics, generative AI, and removal of the Klaviyo logo are on the paid Email plan, so free keeps the logo and stops when either cap breaks.

Do unsubscribed profiles count toward Klaviyo pricing?

Suppressed, unsubscribed, and deleted profiles drop out of the billable count once processing finishes, which can take up to 72 hours. A checkout address that Klaviyo can still email does count, even if that person never opted in, so a store's bill includes people who never joined a list. The lower band does not apply by itself: you select it more than 24 hours before the cycle renews, or the upcoming invoice keeps the higher band.

What happens if I go over my Klaviyo profile limit?

On the free plan, sending stops until the active profile count is back under 250 or you upgrade, and Klaviyo does not raise a free plan on its own. On a paid plan, sends continue, and the account moves to a profile-compliant band at the next billing cycle. Reducing the count in the last 24 hours of the cycle does not change that upcoming invoice.

Is the first-month offer the ongoing Email price?

No. It is $19 off the first month of the 500-profile Email plan only, through 30 November 2026, for an account that has not had a paid Klaviyo plan in the previous 12 months. The first month is $1, and every later month is the list rate, so a qualifying first year is $221 and a year without the offer is $240. The credit does not apply to Composer, text, or any larger profile band, so a store already past that first paid row pays the list rate from month one.

How much does Klaviyo SMS cost?

US toll-free SMS is listed at $0.01 per send on the pricing calculator, and Klaviyo's help center says that rate already includes carrier fees. You prepay a spend amount, and unused spend expires at the end of the month. The free credit on every plan is the mobile allowance in the free-plan row. Messages with an emoji can split into two billed segments, and a short code, recommended past about 95,000 recipients a month, is a separate charge.

Is Klaviyo cheaper than Omnisend at 500 contacts?

Omnisend Standard at that band is $16/mo after a three-month discount, with 6,000 emails. Klaviyo's matching Email row includes 5,000 emails and sits $4/mo higher before any add-on. Klaviyo costs more than that Standard rate as soon as Composer or Customer Hub is on the invoice. Check the current price on Mailchimp's site before you call either tool the cheap one.
