Tidio Review 2026
Tidio's plans, add-on prices and free-plan limits, compared with four live chat rivals, with prices checked on vendor pages in October 2026.
Tidio is a good buy for a small store that wants website chat, a ticket inbox and a chatbot in one account, as long as monthly volume fits the plan. The free plan covers 50 billable conversations a month. Starter covers 100 billable conversations for $24.17 a month, with a 7-day trial. Growth starts at $49.17 a month, and the Lyro AI agent bills separately, so the bill follows conversation volume.

The buying question for Tidio is narrower than a feature list: does the free or Starter quota cover your traffic, and what does the bill look like once a bot takes over part of the conversations?
The free plan lets you start without paying. Stores weighing live chat against a chatbot in one tool can compare the field in our chatbot builders ranking.
This review answers that from Tidio's own pricing page, read in October 2026, next to four live chat rivals compared on entry price and what each plan includes. Monthly volume decides whether Tidio is a buy.
Toolradar data: of the 50 live chat tools we track, 42% are free, freemium or open source, so a free tier is common in this category.
The quota decides the bill, which is why this review focuses on limits (our live chat ranking, October 2026).
What is Tidio?
Tidio is a website live chat and customer service platform. It puts a live chat widget, a shared ticket inbox, a drag-and-drop Flows builder and the Lyro AI Agent in one account, so a visitor's question can start as a bot reply and end as a ticket for a person.
The pricing page lists live chat and ticketing, a live visitors list, operating hours and ticketing automations among its features. Tidio says customers average a 75% resolution rate with Lyro. That is the vendor's own figure, and we did not measure it.
The pricing page covers chat, tickets and Flows, not email campaigns or a CRM. Pair Tidio with a tool such as Mailchimp or HubSpot Marketing Hub if the chat has to feed a campaign.
The Lyro AI Agent is also sold on its own, from $32.50 a month for 50 conversations. For the wider category, see our lifecycle marketing tools ranking.
How Tidio works
Once the widget is live, your team answers from one inbox, and the Flows builder runs the automated steps: a greeting, a few questions, then a handoff to a person. Flows on the free plan stop at 100 unique visitors a month, which a busy store passes early. Tidio's page says extra quota on the Plus plan lifts that to 100,000 visitors a month.
Lyro works on top of that. The first 50 conversations are free (lifetime), and the monthly limit can be raised from 50 to 1,000 conversations. That is where a growing store spends its budget, so model the monthly count before you switch the agent on.
Lyro and branding removal both sit outside the plan price. Removing Tidio branding costs $16.67 a month. If the chat sits behind a paid campaign, the landing page is usually handled by a tool such as Unbounce, and Tidio handles the conversation after the click.
Tidio key features
Tidio pricing
Tidio's pricing page lists four plans: Free, Starter, Growth and Plus. Starter and Growth both come with a 7-day trial, and the page says annual billing costs about 17% less than paying month to month. Plus is quoted from $300 a month plus usage. Source: Tidio pricing.
The price rises with conversation volume. Each step up raises the billable-conversation quota, and Plus is quoted on usage, with AI and human conversations billed at separate rates as you scale. The Lyro AI Agent sells on its own from $32.50 a month for 50 conversations, and branding removal adds $16.67 a month. Those are the lines to model before you commit.
Methodology: we read each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026 and quote only the figures printed there. We left out Landbot, whose pricing page shows euros and no USD figure, rather than converting it.
Quotas are not the same unit across vendors: Tidio counts billable conversations, Crisp counts automated conversations inside its AI credits, LiveChat sells AI resolutions in packs, and Intercom bills Fin per outcome. The comparison therefore focuses on entry prices and what each plan includes.

What could be better

Who Tidio is for
Tidio fits an e-commerce store or small marketing team that wants chat, tickets and a bot in one tool, and expects volume to stay near the Starter or Growth quota. A store with a light support load can start on the free plan and move up when Flows or the free Lyro conversations run out.
It is a weaker fit in two cases. If your automation lives in Instagram comments and DMs, Manychat is built for that job, and our Manychat review covers the trade-off.
If you need a CRM and email campaigns behind the chat, Tidio's pricing page does not list them, so pair it with ActiveCampaign or a full marketing automation suite.

Best Tidio alternatives
If Tidio is not the right fit, these are the closest options.
| Tool | Best for | Starts at | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tidio | E-commerce and small marketing teams wanting website chat, tickets and a chatbot in one tool | Free plan | Visit → |
| Crisp | Small teams that want one shared inbox priced per workspace, not per seat | Free plan | Visit → |
| LiveChat | Support and sales teams that want live chat with per-agent pricing and a 14-day trial | Essential $19/user/mo and Growth $79/user/mo, billed annually | Visit → |
| Tawk.to | Budget-minded sites that need live chat for free and can live with Tawk.to branding | Core live chat free | Visit → |
| Intercom | Growing support teams that want a full helpdesk and AI resolution billed per outcome | Essential $19/seat/mo billed annually | Visit → |
The bottom line
Tidio earns a buy for a small store that wants website chat, a ticket inbox and a bot in one account, provided the monthly volume fits the plan. The free plan lets you test the widget and Flows before you pay, and Starter covers a modest volume with a 7-day trial.
The honest caveat is growth. Once volume outgrows Starter, the next steps are Growth and then usage-based Plus, and Lyro and branding removal bill on top. If your program runs mainly on Instagram DMs, Manychat is the stronger tool.
If you want free live chat and can keep Tawk.to branding, Tawk.to costs nothing. If you need a full helpdesk with AI billed per outcome, Intercom's Fin is the rival to price against, and our chatbot builders ranking shows the wider field.
