๐Ÿšซ iOS 27 now blocks The trade desk from your safari ads LINK

  • Safari 27 on iPhones and iPads now refuses to load adsrvr.org, the domain The Trade Desk uses to request and deliver ads, because that address sits on a short, private list of domains Apple's browser always blocks.
  • The block comes from a February commit to WebKit's open-source code, but the list itself stays in Apple's builds alone, so advertisers buying through The Trade Desk cannot reach Safari users, which Cloudflare put at 15.1% of global browser traffic against Chrome's 66.3%.
  • Eight other domains from five identity firms, including Unified ID 2.0, ID5, LiveRamp and Permutive, are cut off too, while Google's bids through ad.doubleclick.net still went through on a test yahoo.com page; only Apple can remove a domain, and its engineers replied that they are still investigating.
  • ๐ŸŽฎ Discord launches Ads Manager to reach 90M daily users LINK

  • Discord has launched Discord Ads Manager, a self-serve advertising platform that lets businesses of any size reach the app's base of more than 90 million daily active users as of Q2 2026.
  • The tool combines forecasting, objective-based bid building, and performance reporting, and runs on an auction model with dynamic pricing instead of a fixed CPM, so advertisers can adjust bids in real time against down-funnel metrics.
  • For now, Ads Manager is open with managed access to a select group of advertisers, with fully self-serve access planned for early 2027, extending reach to smaller studios that once needed a direct sales relationship to advertise.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Marketers embrace AI but few see big payoffs LINK

  • Nearly all marketers now use AI in their work, but most still measure it by time and money saved rather than by improved effectiveness, according to research from the WFA.
  • The survey of 54 marketers across 46 brands found 96% now use agentic or generative AI, up from 45% in 2023, with content creation and team efficiencies the top uses.
  • Advanced adoption jumped from 16% last year to 27% today, yet 30% of teams have no KPIs set up, and only a quarter believe most staff understand AI well.
  • ๐Ÿค– OpenAI's new Dots agents can run your apps for you LINK

  • OpenAI has launched Dots, always-on AI agents that work across connected apps, run several projects at once, and learn a user's preferences over time, competing with Meta's Muse and Google's Gemini Spark.
  • Each Dot gets its own cloud computer and browser and can plug into more than 4,000 apps, and with permission it can also operate the user's laptop, though users start with a single agent each.
  • Dots is available to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium users, who can message or call their Dot in ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, with default rules and custom rules setting when an agent acts alone or asks for approval.
