π Pinterest now lets brands sponsor your creator Pins LINK
- Pinterest has rolled out a new option that lets brands sponsor and boost creator Pins, even when the creator and the brand have no prior partnership or pre-arranged sponsorship in place.
- Brands can seek out and promote eligible creator content tied to their products, and the creator gets an email whenever a brand decides to promote one of their Pins.
- Creators choose whether to allow each promotion or opt out entirely at the account level, and Pinterest says they can attract sponsorships by mentioning brands in Pin titles and descriptions and keeping content brand-safe.
π° Substack now lets brands sponsor your subscribers LINK
- Substack has rolled out three sponsorship formats at Advertising Week New York, called Upgrade, Unlock, and Masthead, that let brands fund access to the paid content creators publish for their subscribers.
- Upgrade gives a publisher's free subscribers one free month of paid access paid for by a brand, Unlock opens a single paid post to everyone, and Masthead builds a themed destination where a brand and creators present work together.
- Substack is pairing the formats with independent Kantar studies for large campaigns that measure awareness, perception, and consideration, so brands can judge sponsorship by brand impact rather than clicks and impressions.
π Google's SynthID Detector now spots AI from 4 named makers LINK
- Google has opened its SynthID Detector to the public, letting anyone sign in and upload an image, video or audio file to check for the hidden watermark that Google, OpenAI, Nvidia and Kakao add to generated media.
- The portal accepts 20 file formats and reads one signal, the SynthID mark woven into pixels and audio frequencies so it survives screenshots; a clean result does not prove a human made the file, since it only recognises marks from four companies.
- Google automatically embeds SynthID and C2PA markup in every image and video made inside its advertising tools, so any such asset can now be dropped into the portal by a reviewer, competitor or journalist, a possibility the general public did not have before October 6.
π Google lets you set up Conversion Lift tests yourself LINK
- Google Ads now lets advertisers set up Conversion Lift measurement on their own, dropping the earlier requirement to work through a Google Ads representative, according to a rewritten help page spotted by Hana KobzovΓ‘.
- To qualify for a study, an account needs at least 1,000 observed conversions and a campaign budget of $5,000, plus one tracked conversion action that works with Conversion Lift.
- Supported formats include Display, Search, Video, Demand Gen, App Campaigns and Performance Max, though iOS-targeted App campaigns and Travel Ads are left out, and each campaign can join only one study at a time.
βοΈ Anthropic's Haiku 5.5 cuts your bulk AI costs 75% LINK
- Anthropic released Claude Haiku 5.5 today, a small model priced at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens for prompts up to 100,000 tokens, down from $1.00 and $5.00 on Haiku 4.5.
- Those lower rates cover roughly 90% of requests sent to the earlier Haiku model, which cuts their cost by 90%; prompts above 100,000 tokens drop 50%, for an average saving around 75% once a new tokenizer is counted.
- Anthropic recommends Haiku 5.5 for high-volume, cost-sensitive jobs such as summaries, database queries and classification, while Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 remain the choices for complex agentic coding work.
π‘ Strategies & Tactics
> YouTube Retention Strategy: How to Hook, Hold, and Convert Viewers: Script videos with the five-part BINGE method so viewers stay watching longer, since YouTube's algorithm rewards watch time and focused attention builds trust that drives sales.
> We Analyzed 624 Talker Research Surveys. Hereβs What Actually Earns Links: Build survey campaigns around an emotional tension like burnout or money stress and give them a memorable name, since those earn the most journalist links.
> Email Marketing in the AI Era: Personalization, Automation & Deliverability: Point AI at email personalization, automation, and deliverability rather than just writing more messages, since those underused levers drive the real revenue.
> Desktop Habits Hide Mobile Friction: Test your store in a phone's incognito browser because desktop-only reviews hide the pop-ups, broken checkouts, and tiny images that drive away cold social visitors.
> LinkedIn shares checklist for B2B marketing campaigns: Target everyone who influences a purchase and measure each buying stage, since most vendor evaluation now happens invisibly through AI tools before any sales contact.
> One Live Session, a Month of Content: Running Webinars as a Marketing Engine with Restream: Plan a webinar's reuse before the slides so one session's recording, clips and transcript feed a month of email, social and sales content.
