π Apple loosens EU tracking prompts so you can track more users LINK
Starting with iOS 27.2, Apple will let developers use an alternative App Tracking Transparency prompt in the EU, part of a recent deal with the bloc that could make it easier to track more users.
The alternative prompt has modified formatting and language plus an "Additional Information" button, and it is mandatory for apps distributed in Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and Romania due to legal requirements.
EU developers will also be able to re-prompt users one year after their previous ATT choice, regardless of whether those users initially accepted or declined tracking under the earlier request.
π΅ Coach turns Spotify into a Gen Z ad channel LINK
Coach's Fall 2026 campaign "Live Your Story" makes Spotify the connecting layer that ties its films, music and products together, aiming to reach Gen Z through listening habits rather than a simple sponsored playlist placement.
The Courage Frequency activation on Spotify reads listening behavior to give users one of six Courage Signs with a matching playlist, while five special-edition Tabby bags tied to Elle Fanning, PinkPantheress, SOYEON, Lilas and Shan Yichun mirror the same personalization idea.
The Tabby Tour, a physical version of the bus in the films, starts in New York and runs into early 2027 across the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea, with performances, artist talks and product customization.
π Google Ads now shows how your spend compares with rivals LINK
Google Ads has added a Spend Benchmarks report that lets advertisers compare their weekly ad spending and clicks against a peer group of businesses the platform considers similar to their own.
The report, found in the account Overview, showed one example account spending β¬284 a week against β¬268 for its peers, while generating 912 clicks compared with the peer benchmark of 765.
Google builds the peer comparison using factors including the advertiser's industry and where it advertises, and the benchmark can arrive with recommendations to increase spending to generate more results.
ποΈ Threads just gave podcasters new tools to grow your show LINK
Meta has added a set of tools to Threads that help podcasters promote their shows, letting users share transcripts, save episodes for later, and track the traffic Threads sends to a podcast, all inside the app.
Posts sharing episode links can show video clips if the show has a video part, display a written transcript of a portion, or highlight a tagged guest, while tapping a link plays an audio preview.
Threads can send nudges reminding creators to share episodes after they premiere and show podcast insights tracking clicks and saves, an approach that differs from its usual analytics, which de-emphasize clicks to outside platforms.
π Where your customers are changes how AI recommends you LINK
A study from FTA Global found that nearly three of the top five brands recommended by AI chatbots change when a buyer's location and language shift away from New York and English.
The report tested 1,200 answers on ChatGPT and Gemini across 10 business categories and 10 cities, finding that of the 206 brands identified, 159 appeared in only one country.
Money tools showed the most change, with 4.4 of the top five brands shifting across markets, while a payment query returned Stripe and PayPal in New York but Razorpay and Paytm-linked brands in Mumbai.
π‘ Strategies & Tactics
> 3 GEO pillars: LLM readability, brand context, agentic commerce: Optimize content for AI search on three fronts, making text machine-readable, linking your brand to the right concepts, and positioning products for AI agents to select.
> LinkedIn offers tips on company targeting via Campaign Manager: Track which target companies engage with your LinkedIn posts and ads, then retarget the most active decision-makers to focus spending on likely buyers.
> Why you need to know the βnonesβ of your business: Break down your untracked "direct/none" visitors into distinct types like refusers and AI-delegators, because this growing group hides real customers and lost opportunities.
> How to tell which Google Ads controls actually control anything: Learn which Google Ads settings truly enforce limits versus merely suggest them, since a bid target can silently stop delivery when it undershoots the market.
