- Google has begun rolling out AI Search agents, called information agents, that monitor the web for users and send updates through the Google app when relevant information about a tracked topic changes.
- Running inside AI Mode, the agents scan sources like the web, financial data, sports scores, and social posts, letting people track flight prices, product launches, job openings, housing listings, or developing news stories.
- First announced at Google I/O 2026, the feature is launching for AI Ultra subscribers, which starts at $99.99 per month, with users triggering it through prompts like "keep me updated on" or "alert me when".
